[//]:# (!pinmapple 40.610596 lat 24.607118 long d3scr) Here is how we experienced the green oasis of the Aegean Sea, Thassos - a travelogue from an island with countless paradise beaches, each telling its own story.     It goes without saying that Thassos is beautiful as everyone describes it. This can be seen immediately after the ferry landed in the capital and the port of Limenas, from where we continued by car to Potos, which is located southwest of Limenas.  Olive groves, narrow goat trails, wild coves and urban beaches, which are impossible to visit in 10 days and one summer vacation… We were immediately convinced that all this is indisputable.  Thassos is one of the most beautiful Greek islands. Associations on Thassos are a green island, as well as a floating forest. Thassos is an island of olive trees, beautiful beaches, forests, interesting villages and hospitable hosts.  In the evening we walked along the quay of Potos, which is all made of marble. It was teeming with people, stalls with souvenirs and local specialties, mostly honey and olive oil for which the island is famous and which is made in the Sotirelis oil factory in Panagia. I can write a novel about the beaches and what is hidden every 3-4 km from the previous place, but I will try to briefly present to you what we have seen and experienced.   The island has over 50 beaches, each of which is beautiful in its own way. Depending on what you need and what you expect from your vacation, you just have to make a shortlist and stick to it, because it is impossible to be on 5 beaches a day and see them all…   We wanted, really, but it's very tiring all over 3 beaches during the day, because in the end you don't enjoy them properly anymore, since you're already moving on to the next On recommendation, we headed to Paradise Beach, which justifiably bears this name. Infinitely long and sandy, always under the waves…  Below Paradise beach is Golden Beach, which we also saw under the setting sun and which really shone like gold. It has distinct yellow sand. It is calm, no crowds, with the sounds of the sea and a pleasant breeze, it is ideal for an afternoon nap. According to many, the most beautiful.   The next day we set aside to go to the famous Marble Beach (Saliara), a small, wild and beautiful beach hidden by marble dust from the main road. Turn right and get ready for your car to be covered in natural baby powder, no matter how slow you drive downhill. The beach is truly unreal and unique.  The sunset on Thassos is something special. When the sea is calm and the sun is slowly setting, it looks as if it has descended into the sea somewhere on the horizon, and the sky is still burning.
