👉Today I am going to tell you about something that has the same value as gold, that is, about the turmeric plant. I have told you in my previous posts that we grow various things in our house. My mother produces turmeric powder at home for consumption in our house. Today I am going to tell you how to make turmeric powder at home.First of all I will tell you a little about the turmeric plant.

Turmeric is highly valued in the local market. These are also exported to their own foreign markets..Our Sri Lankans who live in foreign countries buy turmeric powder for a large amount of money. Because for us who live in Asian countries, turmeric powder is an indispensable ingredient for our food.

Actually Turmeric powder is an essential ingredient in cooking in Asian countries.Because our tongue and mouth are used to that taste.
Turmeric is used as an antiseptic in cooking, for the color of the food, and for the taste of the food.
Turmeric is used for cosmetics, to make Ayurvedic medicines, to dye fabrics, etc.
Since turmeric is a disinfectant, adding it to food causes disinfection in the body. Also, in the past, kings and queens used turmeric mixed ointments and turmeric mixed drinks to maintain their beauty. Nowadays, we also make turmeric mixed ointments at home to be naturally beautiful.Turmeric is a special ingredient used in cosmetics in countries like India. Especially for their various functions on various occasions
Also use turmeric. (at wedding functions, For religious ceremonies )

Turmeric can be grown well in wet and intermediate zones, and it can also be grown in dry climates like Kurunegala under good water supply.

After about 9 to 10 months, the results of turmeric cultivation can be obtained. and the soil should be dug slowly when the turmeric is removed, because the turmeric may break under the soil. In the root of the plant there is growth.

When growing turmeric, rhizomes with fingers should be selected. It helps a lot to get more yield. Also, if you can loosen the soil well and collect compost, dung manure, dry leaves, etc. in the place where turmeric is grown, it is more suitable.Soil wet is also required. If there is no wet soil, water should be provided well. Always plant small holes in the soil when planting turmeric. Do not compact the soil.
If you don't have enough space in your garden, you can grow turmeric in potting .

👉How to make turmeric powder🧑‍🌾

Wash the mud and sand in the turmeric well. And if you can remove the peel you can get nice yellow colour , after Put a big pot filled with water on the stove, add turmeric to it and boil it well on a low flame. You can also steam it if you want. About 30 minutes boil it.

Boil the turmeric well and remove the water.

Now cut the turmeric into small pieces with the help of a knife and dry well in the sun. Sometimes it takes about 5 days.

After drying well, grind well. And also,

For those who have not seen the traditional grinding machine, I just took a photo of it. Hey guys, 😂😂I can't grind with a traditional grinder.. I grinded some turmeric powder for my mother... I wanted to show it to my friends who haven't seen it. We who live nowadays are used to grinding with a blender for convenience. Actually, because we have to move forward with new technology.

💁Actually we can get good income from turmeric. If these are native to your area, grow turmeric and earn income. If it is not endemic, make a little effort to cultivate turmeric.

Turmeric is not suitable for growing in my country, so I buy it, it's not cheap though. I've never seen the plant or how it is grown, so thanks for showing us the whole process.
