On July 6, 2016, PostGhost.com received the following email from Twitter, which says in part that "postghost.com displays deleted Tweets and is currently violating our Developer Agreement and Policy":

    We created the website postghost.com to provide the public with a more accurate history of public statements made by the most influential public figures on Twitter. We believe PostGhost provides a fairer and more transparent way of allowing individuals to hold public figures accountable than Politwoops, a website that Twitter has recently reauthorized to publish certain deleted tweets.

    Politwoops publishes deleted tweets from a list of known politicians. Political speech, however, is not an activity limited to politicians. In the days leading up to and during the UK’s EU referendum, many major celebrities used Twitter to broadcast their political agenda to their hundreds of thousands or millions of followers (Such as Johnny Robinson, singer with 151K followers, J.K. Rowling, author with 7.6M followers, and Lindsay Lohan, actress with 9.3M followers).
