Hello everyone, I hope you are doing well. I am interested in this theme. A healthy environment, what are the elements to have a healthy environment? The question arose when I first came to read this theme. A healthy environment, I will take an example with the smallest environment, namely the family. The environment where the child is born and learns first.
There are several elements, there are father, mother and child. Then expanding, there are grandmothers, grandfathers, other relatives. I will take the smallest environment, namely the most nuclear family. There are father, mother and child. What are the elements that need to be present in order to have a healthy environment in the family. I will answer from my experience.
My extended family starting from my grandmother, turned out to pass on trauma to my mother from the parenting pattern. Because the pattern continues, it is now passed down to the next generation. The first thing is to break the trauma of parenting. So that the next generation can continue to grow without the sins of the past that have not been resolved.
There needs to be awareness to decide this. After parents come out and decide from past trauma, then they can present a new pattern without the shadow of the past. This pattern begins with mutual respect for each other, especially for children. Children are respected no matter what they do. No matter how small the steps they take.
Then, build a space where the child's opinion is solid. The child's opinion is not an opinion that is set aside. Often, because they are not old enough, children's opinions are always ignored. So, the smallest decision to wear clothes is regulated by parents. Another thing, whatever feelings the child has are valid feelings.
Parents can no longer ignore the feelings of their children, for example when they are at school. Children complain about being bullied by their classmates. Then, parents say "that's just your feeling". Parents like that are really evil. Considering what the child feels as something strange. In the future, if these things continue to be present, the child will have feelings of being ignored.
Another thing, in the relationship between husband and wife. Domestic work and caregiving, need to be divided equally, without any frills. Being a housewife does not mean having the biggest task in domestic work and caregiving. So, every time there is a mistake that occurs in that space, the mother is the one who must be blamed.
Finally, prepare the infrastructure needed to create a healthy environment. For example, people around need to be communicated with the principles and values that you want to create. For me, sometimes those values and principles will not happen if people around fail to understand them.
For me, that's all I can say. Oh yeah, I forgot. One more thing, smooth communication with each other. There are no unpleasant words and fears to express communication. So, all parties understand what is being thought. Finally, commitment to building a healthy environment is also important. That's all I can say. What do you think? Is it the same as me? I'm waiting for your opinion.
