How to buy SOVEREIGN HERO tokens on OPENLEDGER.IO

When you sign up for Openledger the faucet offers free names for accounts on the Bitshares blockchain as long as you include a dash or a number or no vowels including y and w.  So after you get an account and acquired Bitshares with Bitcoin here is what you do.

<h3>Click "Find Markets" in the top right corner. Type "Hero" and click the BTS tab!  (Hero can only be bought with Bitshares!)  Click the star to make it a "favorite market."</h3>

<h3>So you set a buy order at the top of the buy book if you want to wait for someone to sell to you.  Or if you want to be a market "taker" by doing a market buy then you simply set your buy price in Bitshares for the same as the lowest sell on the Sell order book.  I set a buy order for 0.095 Hero for a price of 680.01 Bitshares per Hero so that I could jump ahead of the top buy and get my order filled first.  MAKE SURE TO LEAVE SOME EXTRA BITSHARES IN YOUR BALANCE FOR THE TRADE FEE!</h3>

This article is grossly misleading. 

1. You most certainly can buy Hero IN ANY market on the Bitshares/openledger platform. USD, Yuan, BTS, BTC ot bitBTC. Any of them will do. 

2. There is no point spending your hard earned bitshres on a stabilised product when it is exposure to cryptocurrency you want. So if you believe in bitshares, do not buy Hero.

3. There is a competition going on to SHORT the Hero into oblivion. No good idea to rid yourself of bitshares then. This competition has ONE goal: To shorten the supply of BTS. Do you honestly think the BTS will go down then?

4. Hero is made for those who want predictable value. If you currently hold bitUSD, it is on paper a better option. It is a new product, so it remains to be seen.

It says BTC market disabled.
Hero will raise the price of Bitshares, so to say invest in Bitshares and not hero is self defeating.
Bitshares could possibly go down yes.  It is massively pumped at the moment still up over 30x.
The Larimer family has always been massively successful in their projects and there is no reason to believe this will be different.

No, it's not defeating. Any holder of bts, wether it is in the form of a smart coin or bts itself keeps it off the order books. Which lessens the supply of bts. Which is the whole idea of the hero challenge. If successful, it will make it increasingly hard to buy in.

But to buy hero to be part of bts fun is just plain, downright stupid. You are supposed to sell it, not buy it. That is: after you borrowed it.

Complicated. And not without risk. Risk easily avoided by just buying and holding bts. If you think 30x will become 100x. Stan consistently says 1000x.

To say the larimers are a successful is an overstatement. Both bitshares and steem has been slaughtered by the market. Unjustified in my view. I just happened to buy in at .9 cents in bts. And I look forward to .9 dollars.

And no, I'm not going to buy hero. Not before all the good things in the bitshares ecosystem has materialized. But I might short it. If the opportunity comes.
