Today I learned you can get the top of trending and only have 50 reputation. The reputation system is based on scales of magnitude like earthquake seismic scale. 60 is 10x higher than 50.. and 70 is 10x higher than 60.  Your reputation will be more difficult to raise in the future if you are in your mid-60s because of the lack of whale upvoting.  The curve should change for the better as more investors come in and dolphins mature but certainly it will be difficult to achieve mid-70s for ages to come.  Something that was achieved by simply being attached to a guild list in the past.  With all of these fresh changes we have there are also new challenges to overcome but we must keep in mind that these reputations are now not true representation of posting quality.  Some have earned their reputation and some had theirs artificially boosted.  65 may not be high but I have earned it 100% and am proud of it.

<h3>Some proposed changes to the experiment</h3>

<b>Loosen the whales leash a bit, instead of limiting them to 10% vote it should be limited to 20-50%, the more stake the more limited, but still let the whales have some fun and don't neuter them completely.</b>

<b>No downvoting of articles under 10 dollars or downvoting them under that value unless abuse is occuring.</b>

<b>Allow 100% whale votes from investors who bought in or earned rewards through posting</b>

<b>Steemit Inc. matters!  They should be able to vote at a reasonable percentage but should not be used for guild voting which dilutes the power of the rest of our votes. (we have already mostly accomplished this thanks to @ats-david, @ned and other voices in the community)</b>

<b>Impose heavy flags for reward reduction on repetitive spammy "daily list"or "you have been chosen" comments and posts which act to "fund services" over $100 or 1% of the reward pool per day.  (This is currently not being abused heavily but in the future has the potential.  Exceptions could be granted based on community approval by majority)</b>
