I used to live in a cornfield basically. To prove it, I’ve kept a corn cob in my car for the past 16 years. I don’t know why. I moved away from Middle of Nowhere, Cornfield, and my best friend gave me one to remember her by.

Now it’s just a thing all of my friends know me for. And when new people ride in my car, it’s a fun surprise for them to find. Or maybe not fun. Just…interesting.

I’ve lived in some boring places where there’s not a lot going on.

So, I’ve had to just create my own fun. I’m super low maintenance. I can sit in a car in a Walmart parking lot and have the time of my life, especially depending on who I’m with.

That’s probably what matters most: who you’re with, and not what you do.

So, here are some stories of times I’ve had to make my own fun…because what else was I going to do? And no, I wasn’t on drugs and I didn’t drink alcohol. Maybe these will get your gears turning for things you can do, too, if you think there is nothing to do or everything is "same old, same old."

### Disguise Yourself As An Old Person And Go Roller Skating ###

This one was hilarious because no one could figure out how old we were. Kids kept skating up to us and asking how old we were in real life.  They couldn't figure it out...yet seemed to love it haha.

And then, I ran into my high school students! I knew they were going to blackmail me with my picture, so I just had to make a joke about it and beg them to still respect me come Monday.

I built an e-commerce website once, and I didn't tell anyone about it. Then, I installed live chat on the website and I used my brother's picture and name. I texted my bro and told him "hey, when did you start working for such and such company? I saw your name and picture on the live chat. Why didn't you tell me you started a new job?"

He freaked out and ended up messaging me through the live chat system and I kept the prank going.

When it's not apple picking season, but you want to go apple picking...just take some apples out of your fridge and voila! Instant apple picking fun. 

My neighbor was insistent on pointing out that I was in a pear tree.

I personally think there's no such thing as boredom...because that's what my dad drilled into my brain as a kid. If I ever said I was bored, he said he'd make me scrub the sidewalk with a toothbrush if I didn't have anything better to do.

Needless to say, I got creative, FAST. No relying on TV for entertainment for me. He created a weirdo monster haha.
