What We See on a Screen Makes the World Mean
*They always tried to hold back the arts saying, "That content will turn humanity's thoughts into brain farts."*

*The prudent haze of the disconnected, meddling in our ways with their mind disinfectant.*

*It wasn't Grand Theft Auto or Doom.   Not the fault of the Ninja Turtles or the Looney Tunes.*

*Rated 'R' movies.   'M' for mature.   Parental advisory explicit content warning just for you.*

***Entertainment.   Unsafe for all audiences.***

<center>![NoNamesLeftToUse Fire.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nonameslefttouse/sRpogyat-NoNamesLeftToUse20-20Fire.png)</center>

# Kill the innocent.&nbsp; Start the war.
*"That's what we're there for."*

Long before your favorite online internet personality was demonized, demonitized, deplatformed; we had the work of numerous people stripped from store shelves and burned.

They were known as artists, writers, musicians, etc.

For decades these people collaborated to create video games, movies; pending approval by your thought masters.

Many consumers were brainwashed into thinking a little stamp stating, "This content is not suitable for all audiences," would somehow save the next generation of children from being brainwashed into doing something violent.

If there was a tragedy somewhere in the world, your thought masters would be quick to point out how it was Marilyn Manson's fault some crazy kids shot up a school in Colorado.&nbsp; Why?&nbsp; Because you can't simply call a spade a spade on national television.&nbsp; Someone's feelings might get hurt if you call a crazy lunatic a fucking crazy lunatic.&nbsp; Easier to blame someone who only *looks* the part since the masters worked hard on forcing society to be superficial anyway.

Obviously, if *some* young people are still screwed up: creating safe spaces, censoring the arts and entertainment, and acting like saviors in front of parents who need someone else to be in charge since they don't want to be responsible for teaching their kids right from wrong, isn't working.

**But which one of these thought masters is going to step forward to say, "What we do isn't helping."**

<center>![NoNamesLeftToUse Point A Cross.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nonameslefttouse/rrj4tohJ-NoNamesLeftToUse20-20Point20A20Cross.jpeg)</center>

# Not one.
*It's their fucking job to blame someone else.*

Failure is making them go insane.&nbsp; Your protectors and thought masters think they're losing control, not realizing they never had control to begin with.&nbsp; They fell for their own goddamn magic tricks.

Arts and entertainment is at times a distorted reflection of reality.

They said that coyote messing with the Roadrunner was too violent back when they were beating hippies over the head with clubs and making a mess out of Vietnam.&nbsp; Doom and GTA were said to be too violent as the Middle East was getting slammed.&nbsp; They feared N.W.A. because they fucked the police.

I'd probably get arrested if I put a warning label on the cop shop, that big white house, a parliament building or the queen's crown.&nbsp; Perfectly fine to label you and I though.&nbsp; Plaster a big fucking letter 'M' on my work and call it anything but graffiti.

**When was the last time the youth rioted over buggy violent software?**&nbsp; These people line up in the cold and wait for hours, happily, just to hear their favorite artist perform something they've heard a million times.&nbsp; I don't see people leaving the latest Star Wars or superhero movie ready to kill and burn down Burger King.

Even back when I was a kid, standing on the couch pretending to be Macho Man Randy Savage, I knew, when it came time to drop that flying elbow on my brother's face, actually hurting him was: *doing it wrong.*

**I was emulating an art form.&nbsp; Not life.**

If the media is to blame for world violence and troubled youth, it's not the fault of the arts and entertainment outlets.&nbsp; ***It's the news outlets.***

<center>![NoNamesLeftToUse Why Did You Have to Blow Your Brains Out Grandma.jpeg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nonameslefttouse/uS8f3edZ-NoNamesLeftToUse20-20Why20Did20You20Have20to20Blow20Your20Brains20Out20Grandma.jpeg)</center>

### The real world is to blame for real world problems.

A serial killer is not emulating the book written about a serial killer.&nbsp; The death and destruction came before the words.

**The people saw the real world cop kill a man.&nbsp; They rioted, again.&nbsp; Noticing a trend?**

When an actor plays the role of a cop and kills many within the span of two hours or less, he was a goddamn hero and the people cheered.

**We can't keep sweeping the real world under the rug then blaming the fake world for the problems.**

Everyone knows the difference.

<center>![NoNamesLeftToUse Sickness Dwelling.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nonameslefttouse/Nxc6iszw-NoNamesLeftToUse20-20Sickness20Dwelling.png)</center>

## Yet the people remain confused.
*"Why am I being censored and deplatformed?&nbsp; What's going on here?&nbsp; This is new."*

No, for fucksakes it's nothing new.&nbsp; Artists and entertainers have been handed the shitty end of the stick for decades.&nbsp; The modern online content creator is no different and will be treated the same.

Alex Jones was outraged and acting like what happened to him was unprecedented.&nbsp; His followers were all like, *"Oh my god he's right this is crazy."*

Countless online personalities now experience the same fate.&nbsp; Say something about a pandemic.&nbsp; *Oh whaddayaknow and surprise surprise.*&nbsp; Your content now comes with a label attached and you've been demonitized which is no different than a musician losing out on potential sales because one track out of fourteen had the word 'fuck', so now the entire album is labeled *explicit.*

Everywhere I look I see people taking the fall and their followers acting like the world is going to shit when in reality it has been like this forever.&nbsp; Time to start lengthening the attention spans and focusing again.&nbsp; Pay attention to history or you'll be the history nobody paid attention to.

<center>![NoNamesLeftToUse This Won't Hurt.png](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/nonameslefttouse/AljWkZ0P-NoNamesLeftToUse20-20This20Wont20Hurt.png)</center>

### How far will it go?
*Well let's just look at the Insane Clown Posse and their situation, which you know nothing about, and most likely see no reason to pay attention to.*

They're accepted as *legends* now but were once labelled, "The world's most hated band."

Early on Disney forced them to change lyrics of a completed product with the threat of pulling the album off shelves.

It wasn't long ago [the FBI labelled all fans](https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/insane-clown-posse-lose-legal-fight-over-juggalo-gang-label-202505/) of the Insane Clown Posse a β€œloosely-organized hybrid gang.”

Wearing ICP merchandise or having one of their album covers tattooed on your ass was enough to give police probable cause to do whatever the fuck they want to do with you.&nbsp; Imagine going to a country concert and being detained for wearing cowboy boots.&nbsp; Some dude still stuck in the 80's gets pulled over for wearing a Kiss shirt but all the cop saw was a potential gang member to harass.&nbsp; *It's all the same.*

***"Denied entry into the USA due to the song uploaded to your phone that day."***

It's a long story but to make it short, the Insane Clown Posse and their history of being harassed by your thought masters is a perfect example of how this world will do whatever it takes to hold back independent artists ("free people") from reaching their true potential.

The mainstream artists these days have to follow a set of rules and guidelines enforced by killers in order to reach the *acceptable top.*

If they step out of line and do something different, those psychopaths in charge will single them out, blaming them for instances that led to this chaotic world we live in.

I would not be surprised to see followers of some random internet personality who found success the hard way, independently, *imprisoned for wearing merch.*

Your lab rats/artists are right there.&nbsp; Nobody paid attention to it *so it must be fine.*&nbsp; The demonizing, demonitizing, and deplatforming.&nbsp; That's only the start.

The journalists today are only reading a script.&nbsp; They can go out on their own and report on the size of farmer Joe's watermelon but anything else is forbidden territory.&nbsp; *Say what we wrote with a smile or you'll lose your fucking job, bitch.*

But even today's alternative media is a shit show.&nbsp; Same damn script, spun the other or a different way.&nbsp; That's why you'll see so many "pandemic experts" by the thousands soon all shift their attention to this crazy cop that decided to kill someone on *national television.*

Everyone will report the same damn things a million different ways.&nbsp; The independents will be blamed for the chaos.&nbsp; Then they'll go back to being all confused as to why that is, waiting for the next *big scoop* of shit plastered all over our screens.

> # Let us speak!

*Stop asking for fucking permission.*

The McCarthy Era never went away, it just hid out in grandma's basement making list, waiting to make a come back. He was not even the first it goes back a long way. I have never understood the desire by so many to silence so many via this list or that list.

I was in a thrift store today and this random dude walked up to me and complimented me for having a cool facemask. Then he asked me if I wanted any acid or shrooms.

The location was not ideal so I politely said no thanks, and he complimented me again and walked away.

A bit later he walked back up to me. This time, instead of trying to lure me in with drugs, he was more direct: "Hey man, me and my girl are looking for a ride over to the weed shop. We got no car and the shop's just over on Sheridan. I'll buy you some weed if you want man. Any chance you can help us out after you're done shopping?"

I stared at him. Greasy face. Fidgety. Purple highlights in his wild hair. Stench of cigarettes and booze. ICP tats up and down his arms and legs. No mask, so not sure how he even managed to get in.

Not that I cared about any of that.

"Sure man, I got you," I said.

Because I'd trust a hundred thousand dudes like this dude before I'd trust even one fucking cop.

Plus, he clearly wasn't a crazy lunatic. Just a dude in need of weed.

First we drove to the motel on Colfax where he and his girl were staying because he needed to grab a few rolls of quarters, because why wouldn't you purchase weed with rolls of quarters.

Next we drove to the weed shop. On the way, in between spoonfuls of the strawberry ice cream pint he and his girl were sharing, he leaned out the window waving the peace sign and screaming _NAMASTE!!_ at every other driver.

We made it to the weed shop without getting pulled over, which is good because I'm pretty sure the pigs would've used his appearance and mannerisms as reasonable suspicion to perform a search, and then I probably would've been held liable for all the illict drugs I'm certain were on his person.

Not that I care about any of that, though.

He got his weed, they got back home… and all I got was this story.

In conclusion, fuck censorship, fuck the police, and fuck the thought masters.

Best post I read all day.

I know a few people *like that* and often enjoy having them around, especially for entertainment purposes, because you never know wtf they're going to do or say, and nine out of ten it's never something *bad.*

Rolls of quarters. Fuck. That sounds like a period of my life I'm not even ashamed of. Asking randoms for rides, change, smokes; *been there.* I might even be one of them disguised as *normal.* Who knows. Who cares.

All you got is this story? What happened to the weed they were supposed to buy you?

I was approached awhile back by a dude that looked nothing like that. Black nylon jacket. Ball cap worn forwards with no curve. Jeans. Asking me if I want to buy cocaine or meth. Of course the first thing I said is, "I don't have any money," because I knew, just by looking at him, all he wanted was my money and the fucker would have rolled me in an instant. Plus he was probably a cop, and I don't like those kind of drugs.

He "forgot" to buy me weed while he was in the shop, which is fine, I don't use it anyway. Would've just given it to my buddy. I got my time's worth just from the pure entertainment of it all.

That dude who approached you was _definitely_ a cop. Smart move blowing him off.

I've never understood their appeal TBH. I saw them live once at a festival and left the area for their set to go drink beer outside. It just wasn't for me. I think Eminem gave them a real push when he decided to beef with them.

It's an acquired taste for many. The first time I heard their stuff, the song was funny in an off-color humor somewhat dark fashion, with a catchy beat. I found more and more in the late 90's as mp3s became a thing; enjoyed a lot of it. Never really became the type to look the part though. I enjoy punk rock and never dressed like that either. Haven't been to a live ICP show. I really admire their business model though. They're one of the most successful independent music acts in the history of the industry, all while facing a lot of adversity. They're still putting out new stuff today, been going since the early 90's. Eminem is another I enjoy. I used to hate how MTV butchered his music with all that censorship.

I think I could clean these thoughts up and expand further on some of the ideas. Strange how a chain of thoughts could turn into a book but by the time one wants to write the book, the mind is already thinking about something else.

Even my teenage and younger kids know that. Makes me somewhat concerned about some people o_O

I knew it when I was young. My friends knew it. My kids know it and knew it at a young age. I remember years ago putting Jumanji in for them to watch. The start is kinda *freaky*, scary. *I forgot about that part.* Looked over at the youngest who was five at the time and asked if it was scary. She said something like, "SHHHHH! I'm trying to watch. I know it's just fake."

And of course at a young age it's easy to see what real chaos looks like.

Ahh I watched The Brave Little Toaster as a kid, one of the scariest at the time but still favorite cartoons. Also Once Upon a Forest (1993) was incredible, sadly I haven't seen anything similar lately.
The age recommendations are certainly helpful but they are just guidelines, not rules.

My sister's favorite when she was 5 was Spirited away, she watched it 10 times a day every day for along time :S The movie starts off with the kids parents being turned into pigs for being greedy and the kid works really hard to save them. Not something we planned to show a 5 year old, my brother and I were watching it and she saw it and got hooked. The other sister was so terrified of Beetlejuice cartoons that she had dad burn them xD (those were my brother's favorites). I think the main issue is when kids watch things alone, no matter what. So many parents leave cartoons/movies on just to get rid of kids, instead of taking the time to bond with them.

>They always tried to hold back the arts saying, "That content will turn humanity's thoughts into brain farts."

I will focus on this point more because it happend here on the chain recently there is a group of people trying to kill artists and writers passion for a reason because they have no talent they just want a crypto world on the chain full of analytics and these stuff kinda boring thoughts like that they tried before in steem decentralised version but they didn't succeeded you can kill a person but you can not kill an idea that is while why art will never die even with the haters even with huge HP as well.
