I believe everything in life is *transactional*. We are constantly exchanging things for other things. Time for money; love for security; money for knowledge, the list is endless.

<center>**What are you BUYING OR SELLING?**</center>

Currently, I am exchanging my time and knowledge for financial rewards (mostly). I write (sharing my knowledge) to earn crypto (which takes time and some effort). However, this is not the end goal. It is only a means to end--to gain my freedom (time).

<center>***So you are trading time to have time later in life?***</center>

Yes, that is exactly what I am doing (or better put: that’s what investment entails). 

<center>***Why?***</center> 

Well at this point *my time* is almost useless and by that I mean I cannot utilize time to its full potential (if not invested wisely). There are obvious financial constraints, which limit the number of experiences I can capture with my time.

<center>***Don't blame me, I did not create the system***</center>

I could at this point not use *my time* (which is an excess resource) properly and drown in my supposed youthful lust and pay the hefty price of lack and impoverishment later on in life.

***Or…***

I can get it right now by investing my time in the right things, people and places and enjoy an extended period of youth which is characterized by creative and financial freedom. I do not consider this to be a form of delayed gratification (because I believe in abundance) but just *common sense*.

<center><sub>If you have something in abundance you invest the excess for a sizable return</sub></center>

Time like every other resource should be invested properly and like most resources, it yields interest over an extended period. These returns include social and financial capital that can be reinvested to earn more time and other luxuries like freedom.

When you have excess time and capital you tend to do less. Firstly capital buys you other people’s time, which leaves the execution of your creative ideas to other people. 

It also gets to a point when those creative ideas are outsourced, leaving you with no responsibility other than just existing. This is the point in your life where you can wake up and literally be anything you can imagine. It is the height of freedom.

We all want to experience *freedom* to a certain degree and that entails having more time to do the things we truly want. However, we live in a society where people's time is priced cheaply.

This makes it impossible to convert time into other meaningful resources. Thus, most people are stuck in a life they do not want and the only way out is through *labour*, which is not duly compensated for most times.

I am fortunate not to be stuck in a job I don't want, with people I don't like, in a place that is toxic for me and I have cryptocurrency to thank for that. I consider my life to be a luxury because I am creating and earning economic rewards through expression. This is how I believe people will live in the future. Fortunately, I got to the party quite early.

The major takeaway from this post is that you stay youthful (creative and free) if you invest your time properly. All it takes is finding the right place, people and things to invest your time in, so you can have a rich and wholesome life.
