Some art I made.. or at least, evolved

Hi Steemit,

I've never actually posted these anywhere before, but some years back I spent a while playing around with generative graphics, and saved a bunch of cool things I found. This makes me less an artist than an explorer - the computer did all the work, I just searched through the space of available images to find stuff I liked.

Everything here was created with [Evolvotron](http://www.bottlenose.net/share/evolvotron/)

Some of these have themes, or at least follow a pattern. I called these wires, because they looked sort of like fabric made of electrical wire to me:

I'm not really sure what's going on with the images TBH. Sometimes they seem to display and sometimes they don't, and it doesn't seem to matter which browser I'm using. They're hosted on imgur, so I can't tell if it's a steemit problem or an imgur one, but even if they aren't showing up here you should be able to see the full album here: http://imgur.com/a/iaOQX

Anyways, thanks for commenting! I was a bit disappointed when this seemed to go by ignored, so it's really nice to have some comments rolling in now :)

Yes, I posted a [Blender tutorial](https://steemit.com/blender/@djleo/make-the-steem-logo-blender-tutorial) which didn't get as many votes as I was expecting.

I am happy that some people got something out of it, though. I guess the platform is young and not every investor is actively seeking out original content. I hope over time and with more investors, the level of participation will increase - this place will sure get a lot more exciting!

Try removing the 'i.' before the imgur domain from your image links - that's how I got the green one to open.

Oh, hey, someone actually commented on this! I figured it had largely been ignored.

Last time I used Evolvotron was some years ago, and I don't think it has really been under active development for several years. As I recall, I was able to apt-get it from some universe repository at the time, but TBH I don't really remember how/where any more. If you can get it up and running it's a great program to play around with though, but be warned, it can be addictive. I spent more time than was really reasonable tweaking parameters and trying to find cool new things. Good luck!
