The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are mRNA vaccines. The mRNA is used by our cells to make virus proteins to create an immune response, not the whole virus. Then, the mRNA degrades.

The Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines are gene therapy vaccines that inject the live Adenovirus (one of the common cold viruses) into patients.

The Adenovirus has had COVID DNA (that codes for a COVID virus spike protein) inserted into its genes. 

The Adenovirus inserts this COVID virus DNA into the patient’s DNA, where it will be replicated for years, making a constant supply of virus proteins and potentially a never-ending immune response that could effect our response to other viruses and have other side effects. 

We don’t know what the long term effects will be, but less resistance to other viruses is a side effect of traditional Coronavirus vaccines, which is why we do not have a vaccine for the Coronaviruses that cause the common cold. (Adenoviruses and Rhinoviruses also cause the common.) 

It’s not just an adventure, it’s an experiment, and the pharmaceutical industry has been given a pass on any liability for this experiment.

We do not have effective and safe antiviral treatments against the most common respiratory viruses, including Coronaviruses. In part, this is due to the fact that there are so many different types of cold viruses.

But, it is also because the vaccines have bad long term side effects in macaque monkeys, including worse reactions from infections by other kinds of viruses.
