The coming economic collapse and famine will be a huge test to determine if what remains of democracy and free speech is sufficient enough to put the truth in the center of any debates concerning what oppressive or liberating laws and policies should be implemented, or imposed, whichever the case may be.

If the public doesn’t get accurately informed and speak up on their own behalf, then the current circumstances and political climate, with decades of built up momentum behind it, will most likely continue marching the West right into a form of full blown fascist authoritarianism.

We’re closer to it now than most are aware and there’s a lag time before damages from decades of excessively exploitative policies work their way through the economy and are fully felt by the public. Since the 9-11- 2001 attacks policies designed to increase the wealth and power of the wealthiest among us, have increased the US national debt from roughly six trillion dollar$ to over thirty trillion$ and climbing. 

The real questions now are where and when the bottom will be hit, and whether or not those controlling resources and the economy, as well as markets and job opportunities through government policies, intend to bring the economy back up after it hits bottom. Or will we have a huge class of impoverished people at the bottom with no material wealth and no opportunities?
