The authorities of the region actively promoted the transition to clean energy, stimulating local enterprises and private businesses.<strong> In addition, previously the local government built wind power stations, whose capacity now already reaches 500 MW.</strong> Now the plan is under development, according to which the plant's power is going to be doubled.

<em>At the moment about 60% of the energy produced in the region comes from "clean" sources, the use of which is getting cheaper every year, so by 2020 they are going to completely abandon the old and dirty options for obtaining electricity.</em>

Soon the Scots plan to join some US states and Chinese provinces. So, in California they are going to completely switch to solar energy by 2045, in Atlanta they plan to do it ten years earlier.
