How long has pizza been around? What a mighty question to ponder.. The earliest record we have of the word pizza came from around the 10th century in Gaeta, a town in southern Italy. You can bet your butt though that as long as humans have been cooking dough we've been inventing ways to put tasty shit on it. Pizza-like food has been recorded into history as far back as the Achaemenid Empire and the ancient greeks.  The pizza of the day today is the Coquine; tomato sauce, spicy pancetta, black olives, caramelized onions and fior di latte cheese.
