Food and comfort, yeah both are like an option when the heart is in a bad state. Especially if you contemplate lamenting what happened in the room as if it would make the problem even heavier. Deciding to get out of my comfort zone of silence, I was also looking for a new atmosphere with my best friend. A place not far from where I work, in a cafe, precisely located on Jln. Kruenggukueh City, a canteen that is very close to the TNI Missile Post, this canteen is indeed a place for members of the military to hang out.

Simple and aesthetic make this place the choice of me and my friend, he brought me here to relax, just to tell a light story. Sharing opinions with friends is a very beautiful thing in my opinion, besides being able to meet this it also makes my mood better.

This simple canteen is known as "Canteen Mother Epi", this canteen has been established since 10 years ago. When I was in college, this canteen was already actively selling with a very varied menu. Here they offer very delicious home-cooked food, so if you like nostalgia for home-cooked meals, this is the right place.

After deciding to enter this restaurant area, I was very surprised to see how much the place has changed. Starting from the main area to the back area that has been expanded so that if the customer is busy, we don't need to be afraid of a full place. After choosing the right place, as usual, the last place is my favorite place.

I was also given a menu book, it took me quite a while to choose the right order, I also chose to order chicken soup rice, while my friend chose to order spicy fried noodles. For drinks, we ordered 2 glasses of green tea.

Soto Ayam and white rice is a simple dish that is a specialty of Indonesia. This dish is a kind of chicken soup combined with several types of vegetables and corn vermicelli. I really like soto, apart from the delicious taste of soto it is also very fresh, usually I also add lime juice to this soup, moreover it is enjoyed while warm with a combination of white rice. It really adds to my appetite, besides that, soup is also often the favorite dish of the people of my area on certain occasions. The price of this soup is also very cheap, you can get one portion with a bowl that big for IDR. 15,000. You've got a packet of soup and a serving of white rice.

Not long after all the dishes were neatly arranged on the table, my friend ordered fried noodles. Well, from the picture, maybe you will be tempted by this fried noodle, the deep red color must be very spicy and tasty, right? At first I thought everyone would think like that, but who would have thought that this fried noodle was really salty, we think they added too much soy sauce to this dish. Even though it is still edible, the saltiness has exceeded the standard. As a lover of salty food, I am also very disappointed with this taste.

He didn't finish his noodles, just a little bit to suppress his hunger. Because of his disappointment he also did not want to order other food. Very different from the soup offered, it tastes delicious, tasty and fresh. So besides the dishes that we ordered, there are many other types of menus that you can find here, such as meatballs, grilled fish rice, grilled chicken rice, penyet chicken, stir-fried kale and several other types of Indonesian dishes.

After telling a long story, my best friend and I took pictures in every corner of this place. Aesthetics and simplicity is an extraordinary concept in my opinion. For those of you who like simple home-cooked dishes, you can visit this place. But if you order fried noodles, you have to tell the chef not to be too salty.
