Interview with an Artist: Amanda F. Turner
The following is a short video interview made for the website [Art Activate](http://www.artactivate.com). It features a Q&A with professional artist Amanda Turner; Who also happens to be my partner in business and life. 

Amanda is very well known and highly respected in the toy industry here in Los Angeles and is also an accomplished fine artist. Not many artists are able to bridge the gap between the fine arts and professional arts worlds, but she has managed to walk this tight rope quite expertly and with ease.

HaHa! Good interview. 
"Don't listen to your parents when they tell you 'get a real job'!"
and
"get educated"

That applies to almost every job one can choose. 

I like how you supported the questions by blending in the text. And Amanda is truly a very good interviewee. The British accent appeals a lot :)

In the beginning the underlying music was a bit too dominating, good that you eliminated that in the course of the interview (right?). 

Though in retrospect it's also that one finds what parents tell was quite helpful and true. I like the notion that despite the parents talking against ones choice shows true will when a young person decides for a job anyways. 

I was giving into my parents advice back then. Started design school but then hadn't enough courage to follow my path. I have no regrets, though, because all what I did instead also did me good. My profession was in all respects exciting and teaching me valuable stuff. 

To live of your art is such a wonderful thing. 
Singing sounds also good - in case Amanda loses a finger or so .. ahem... never mind :) She has a lovely voice. 

Is it her true name?? Sounds like an artist name.

Thanks for the comments and critiques! At the time when we made this video, we were traveling and were trying to get something up quickly, so the audio editing probably could have used some extra tweaking. And yes, Amanda is her real name. hehe! 

I think that it's tough being a parent because on one hand you want your children to be successful, but on the other hand you want them to follow their dreams! I think you have to find a way to do both if you want to be happy!

Yes, I did the video and photography work, she did the editing.

Chocolate fix originally was a physical game that we were contracted to turn into an online game. I did the sound and programming/development work while she did the interface design and art assets. That game did make me want to eat sweets. haha!
