## PolloPollo wins award

Obyte-powered charitable donation platform, [PolloPollo](https://pollopollo.org/), picked up an award at the Latin America Bitcoin and Blockchain Conference in recognition of “its potential to develop models that leverage the blockchain technology or Global Impact”.

## Bosch Connectory candidacy

A reminder that the Bosch Connectory in Stuttgart, Germany, [is a candidate](https://medium.com/obyte/bosch-connectory-is-the-next-candidate-to-become-a-witness-on-the-obyte-public-network-b99572870644) to run a public witness node on the Obyte network, and it's up to the community to approve them or not.

Reminder - witnesses are [nothing like Bitcoin miners](https://wiki.obyte.org/Basic:Witness#Witnesses_versus_miners), in that they do not act as validators or gatekeepers to the network, meaning all users have equal access.

## Oscript improvements (technical)

Quite a few improvements have been made to Oscript recently, which you can see [on Github](https://github.com/byteball/ocore/compare/29676e0d8c7e...6aa8f1d18833), or read about the changes summarized in lead developer Tony's words [on Reddit](https://www.reddit.com/r/obyte/comments/e8tg3b/oscript_updates_technical/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x).

Reminder - Oscript is a programming language for [Autonomous Agents](https://medium.com/obyte/introducing-autonomous-agents-6fe12fb12aa3), which are currently available on Obyte testnet. If you are a developer and feel like trying out Autonomous Agents, head to [testnet.oscript.org](https://testnet.oscript.org/), write your first AA in the easy-to-use browser editor, and deploy it to testnet.

## Alternative witness name suggestions

One of the advantages Obyte has over most crypto projects is that it's [not a blockchain](https://medium.com/obyte/from-blockchain-to-dag-getting-rid-of-middlemen-28afa7563545). However there are some drawbacks to this, mainly because Obyte’s lack of miners is hard to explain. We have witnesses (very different from miners) and it's a confusing topic for people. Further, the name witness is used by other blockchain projects, which are nothing like Obyte witnesses and we plan to make the difference clearer.

Current alternative suggestions include:

- Sequence Provider
- Sequencer
- Sequence Witness
- Sequence Beacon
- Lighthouse
- Lighthouse Builder
- Guiding Light
- Order Provider
- Waypoint Provider
- Waypoint Node
