Міжнародний комітет Червоного хреста зареєстрував сотні українських військовополонених із заводу "Азовсталь" у Маріуполі.

Ця реєстрація потребує: заповнення форми з особистими даними, такими як ім’я, дата народження та найближчий родич. Ця інформація дозволяє комітету відстежувати тих, хто був захоплений, і допомагати їм підтримувати зв’язок зі своїми сім’ями.

Відповідно до мандата, наданого МКЧХ державами згідно з Женевськими конвенціями 1949 року, комітет повинен мати негайний доступ до всіх військовополонених у всіх місцях їх утримання. МКЧХ має бути дозволено опитувати військовополонених без свідків, а тривалість і частоту цих відвідувань не повинні надмірно обмежувати.

Вже кілька днів триває евакуація українських бійців з "Азовсталі".
Російська сторона каже, що вже "здались у полон" майже тисяча українських військових з "Азовсталі".
За словами російського Міноборони, з "Азовсталі" вийшли 959 вояків, із яких 80 – поранені. Вони в лікарні в Новоазовську.
Водночас керівник донецьких сепаратистів Денис Пушилін заявив, що головні командири української оборони Маріуполя все ще перебувають на заводі.
Українська влада називає вихід бійців з "Азовсталі" евакуацією і твердить, що згодом їх обміняють на російських полонених. Зважаючи на те, що військових з "Азовсталі" вивезли на непідконтрольну територію України, залишаються лише побоювання за їх подальшу долю. Можна лише сподіватися, що з ними все буде добре і їх справді повернуть в Україну. Поки що як на мене реєстрація даних від Червоного хреста нічого не означає, але хай роблять. Може це допоможе знати всіх наших героїв по іменах.
