Hello everyone! This is the 1150th compilation post of OCD's latest curation efforts. It has been known that OCD has been supporting leading niche communities under its <b><a href="https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@ocdb/ocd-communities-incubation-program-update-120">Community Incubation Program</a></b>. However, there are still a lot of other niche communities not supported by OCD. This curation initiative will help in supporting those communities.

This newest curation effort aims to encourage authors to post in appropriate communities even if those communities are not under the incubation program. This will also encourage users to explore more into the different communities in Hive. 
</div>

<h4>How this Works</h4>

OCD curators and community leaders will find posts from other niche communities and recommend them for an upvote. Unlike those communities in the incubation program where curation is focused, this curation initiative is spread out. This will help find undervalued posts from smaller communities that deserve support.

This will highlight both the author and the community where the post is located. This way, smaller niche communities can focus on growing their subscribers and increasing the engagements within their respective communities. A small boost goes a long way.

<blockquote>Living in a country like Venezuela can teach you a lot about uncertainty. There are quite a few things that people in more stable nations take for granted, such as quality healthcare (even if expensive,) continuous water and electricity supply, fuel for cars, relatively clean and hole-free streets, internet access, stuff like that. Those aren't guaranteed here, even in the capital, which is far better off than most of other areas. Small power outages are common enough to wreak havoc on appliances and other equipment, in some places near-daily blackouts are quite common; we have to keep water stored somewhere, in buckets, tanks or bottles in case the service stops for whatever reason (as is the case in my building right at this moment.) Litter fills the streets not only because citizens lack responsibility but also because there aren't enough cleaning crews, dumpsters or garbage trucks available in most locations. Poor urban maintenance means the roads are generally in disrepair and, on top of that, gas for vehicles is scarce, particularly outside Caracas. Shocking, for an oil-producing country, but that's what tyranny, corruption and gross mismanagement do. There was a point not so long ago when we couldn't even be certain that we'd find food in supermarkets, at least not without standing in long lines for hours. I'm sure millions of Africans and South Asians would understand this all too well.

The first memories I have are of my maternal grandmother's garden, which are still kept in my heart. Every vacation we used to go to grandma's house, I remember that there, there was a huge garden with a path that connected the corridor with the patio and a little house where we used to cook in a fire place (with firewood). My mother and aunts took care of that place in memory of my grandmother who loved plants and flowers so much. I remember that my grandmother's favorites were the calla lilies, she collected them, my mother told me that she had several colors. Since then it has been more than 40 years that my grandmother is not here, but the garden is still beautiful; every time I go to visit, I love to walk through it.
