Since I genuinely tend to rationalize things before allowing myself to get  consumed by emotions, i have decided to write an objective approach towards the biggest change that ever stroke this blockchain. 


As majority of you guys, i have felt somehow dissapointed in regards to steemit.inc being acquisited by the Tron company. Things get more tricky once you realize Tron operate in highly centralized manner, becoming a direct threat to our decentralized governance. This might sound trivial to someone who came here just for fun, however there are people who invested their money, time and effort in order to keep the blocks running, thus add the  value towards *common good*.

I guess DPoS governance is about to get tested. It's not like I'm trying to FUD, but the community needs to be confronted with the  potential risks and preventive actions we can take in case one entity tries utilizing  its stake against the wellbeing of a majority. 


Having in mind that the World is fucking savage place to take part of,  where personal gains almost always outweights general interest, i feel more than confident that we shouldn't entrust our resources to anyone . That is the thing with the blockchain though, let the code secure our governance while remaining opensource for anyone to check it. 

Going further,  Justin ain't stupid to buy 75 mil steem just to witness his investment fade away, regardless of all the marketing efforts he might undertake. 

Status quo might be the way to go, for now... After all, in the last year we have build pretty solid platform with little to none incentives to be offered in return. Once the price starts increasing it will be a lot more competitive as the  economic incentive will be enough to sustain the fundamental needs. I don't quite think it'll happen anytime soon, but we are on the right track - In case collaboration ends up being beneficial for both ecosystems. 



#  So, what are the solutions here? 


The most obvious solution is atomic swap.

Basically, atomic swaps are peer to peer exchange of different cryptocurrencies without any intermediary - such as exchanges . During the proces,  control and ownership are remaining in hands of those who hold private keys, enabling the whole proces to run more smoother.

This way the value can be transferred between 2 separate blockchains instantly,  while eliminating the need for implementing one blockchains features into smart contract. To be completely honest i don't even know if its technically possible, but it seems somewhat logical. 


Now, if we assume I'm right about this (which i don't know for sure), both ecosystems would probably interact more and eventually find common language about things we find valuable. 
It makes no sense to be frustrated and angry about things that already happened and won't change, therefore setting your mindset the right way is a must. 

I just hope not to witness any attempts of hostile takeover, regardless in what shape it might occur. Ok, since he did bought a lot of steem he has every right to express and support what he think will add future value. In case his actions starts hurting the system, we need to deal with it in a decentralized manner. Forking his stake out won't bring anything good, but one can't fuck with anothers men stake, right? 

After all, that is the main role of the witnesses, to keep our stake safe. 


Maybe, just maybe this could end up being the right move.
