## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Trust me, we are all in school for our academics, but due to how stressful it is, we get tired at some point and wish for a break so we can rest. That's where the student week or any public holiday comes into play, even though some public holidays are observed.

Our students week usually takes place every second semester, after which comes the student Union government election. It's usually one week, but due to a tight academic schedule, it was reduced to three days. We had lectures Monday and Tuesday, even though the celebration of student week was already in full swing. Student week commenced in full on Wednesday, which was the old school day.

The old school day was fun; you see students in different attires, all reminding us how our forefathers dressed before modernization, the evolution of man, and technology changed everything. The way we dress today is not how it was years ago; tight trousers and polo shirts actually seemed boring yesterday. I had no attire to put on, but I followed them to move around the school as they had showcased different walking steps.
Since it was a lecture-free day and I had all the day to myself, at around 2 p.m. I left for my room because I wanted to play football again after so many months. I know it won't be easy on me, and the body pains I'd experience will be a lot to bear considering it's been a long time since I last played the game.

At around 4 p.m., I left for my room since there was a cooking competition to take place the same day and I wanted to attend. Free food was promised, and one of my coursemates was one of the participants, so I had a slot as well as going there to support her. At 4:30 p.m., I was out again. The intention is to make my student week memorable as I hardly participate in extracurricular activities, but I am currently in my final days as a college student, so I am trying to at least have a story to tell.

I reached the venue and the cooking competition had already started. I looked for a good spot to sit while we waited for the competition to come to an end. For over an hour, the competition looked like something that was not going to end anytime soon, so I left, but I made sure she saw me so she knew I was rooting for her at least.
