## Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. Trust me, as a kid, all I wanted was to grow up and become an adult like my dad just so I could have more than two meat served to me. Little did I know he did deserve what he was getting because being an adult is really not something everyone can handle. I also wanted to become an adult so I could live my life the way I wanted. My parents were strict and our movement was kind of restricted, but as an adult, I can move however I want and come back home whenever I want.

Then I see adulthood as a gateway to the kind of life I had in mind, where I get whatever I want. I see adults buy whatever they want without even waiting on anyone, while as a kid, I had to wait for an adult to do that for me. I wanted to grow up so I could get whatever I wanted when I wanted it without waiting on any adults. The adults then never told me I had to work so hard if I wanted to get whatever I wanted. 

Truth be told, now I need a break from this whole adulting thing, even if it's just for a day. As an adult, every day comes with a different task and different bills. There is no day that passes by that you don't have one difficult task or the other to handle, and as an adult, it is expected that you handle it perfectly without making any mistakes. I thought adulthood was where you live a life free as a bird, but I was wrong. I wish I had stayed a kid a little longer. 

Adulthood is a lot more difficult than I was even told, thanks to the crashing economy of my country. Everyday comes with a responsibility of its own. As an adult, you become fully responsible for yourself and for the people around you. As an adult, you make choices for yourself, not your parents making them for you. Sometimes you are forced to make hard choices all just to pull through this adulting thing. Whatever the result of the choices you make and the consequences that come with them, it is on you, and this is one of the things that makes adulting scary and even more difficult. 

Every day as an adult, you are left wondering where your next meal is going to come from, as no one is going to do that for you, unlike when you were a kid, where that was a problem for your parents to worry about, but as an adult, you have to do it yourself. Adulthood is a lot harder than you can imagine. As an adult, it's also expected of you to live an exemplary life for the young ones, who sometimes stop you from doing a lot of things and engaging in a lot of activities.

For me, I think it does get a lot better. For now, I am feeling the heat this much because I am just starting the journey. With time, I'll adapt, and my complaints about adulthood will be no more. Also,  getting a good-paying job that helps cater for the bills will make adulting a lot easier and even better. Adulthood is not all bad; a few advantages come with being an adult.
