Forgiveness is good and all, it heals one and makes one's less bitter in the future. 

But as for me, in that moment of transgression, I'd do all it takes to mitigate as much harm as possible. Even if it means harming others. When a robber flings a machete at you, you are supposed to sidestep, grab his machete and take him down as best as you can, even if it harms him. 

I understand your situation perfectly. I have relatives who are like that. Exactly as you described. And it's much more difficult because they are a generation older, and in my culture, anything I do to my uncles and aunts reflects upon my parents. I cannot overstep my boundaries as a son and nephew. 

I'm not the type to punch the wall or slam the doors. But when they are as you said 'taking me for a fool'. I do my very very to make sure my words hurt them in the worse ways, if not to make sure it never happens again, or at least to stop what they're doing. I am easily a happy bubbly boy but I do not liked to be crossed.

Imo, anger indicates someone is invading personal boundaries.  So firming up your walls and focusing on self care may help your anger feel "heard".

There is a meditation where you imagine a gift of flowers for the person. Superimpose their face on the gift.  Push the image back, back, and outside the reach of your outstretched hand.  Poof! The gift and the face disappear in a puff of smoke.

I guess the best way is just totally ignore her.  If you take her into your mind, this might cause you a lot of stress and may cause you your health.  It might also stop her of doing you harm.

It can definitely be difficult.  But why **entertain** her?  Meaning, why not just accept that she is not a kind person (at least currently) and keep the communication and interaction to a minimum

I know what you're going through right now dear @ogoowinner, it's a long-term scars left in your heart from your loved ones, its a kind of scars that are hard to erase though possible, it can be healed by a reciprocal of love from the particular person/s that caused the scars in their loved one's heart, but when they fail to recognize the harms they've caused their loved ones, then the scars remains and remains fresh and bleeding.

Sorry to hear a relationship playing out that way, especially w/ a family member. I've been through that on multiple occasion and it's very hard to balance. You can't really cut off a family member but you definitely don't want to be taken advantage of.
The thing that helped me most is realizing that I was handicapping these family members by overextending myself when it wasn't reciprocated. By always coming to there aid in a 1 sided relationship, I was hindering their personal development as well as my own. 
In your case I would say try to deal with interactions with that relative from that perspective. 
That way you don't have to view it as getting even and still be forgiving...a lot less weight on your heart that way...

Personally, I like to vent out after taking in so much s#it from people. Making them understand that I've not been cool with all they've been doing...this helps put them in their place. If they are not cool with that, Fine with me! Good riddance

I would say just remember who you are. I have had to use fire with fire, but only to defend myself not to retaliate. Remembering that forgiving is not only beneficial for the agressor might help. That doesn't mean you gotta keep up with the bull tho. Either way stepping back and taking a break from that person should help.
