Практично кожного дня мені доводиться редагувати як свої, так і чужі тексти (частіше чужі). І кожного разу автори дивуються деяким з моїх виправлень. Йдеться не про очевидні одруки, а, скоріше, про формулювання, кліше і смислові помилки.

##### Чому так відбувається?

Читаючи свій текст, автор упевнений, що ясно викладає думки. Перечитуючи з разу в раз свій твір, він тільки переконується в цьому.

Проблема в тому, що автор не читає свій текст так, як це зробили б інші! Абстрактно, з боку, ніби чужими очима. Він промовляє свої ж помилки, властиві його промові конструкції, тож зовсім не факт, що вони більш-менш зрозумілі всім навколо.

##### Що робити?

Перший спосіб - відправити текст собі на пошту. І відкрити лист, як від сторонньої людини. Таким чином можна спробувати обдурити мозок і поглянути на текст ніби чужими очима.

Другий спосіб - записати текст на диктофон і послухати його. На слух легше розпізнати місця, де суть змісту заплутана або погано сприймається.

Almost every day I have to edit both my own and other people's texts (more often the latter). And every time the authors are sincerely surprised at some of my edits. We are not talking about obvious typos, but rather about wording, clichés and semantic errors.

##### Why does it happen?

When reading own text, the author is sure that they are expressing their thoughts clearly. Rereading their work from time to time, they only get sure of that.

The problem is that the author does not read their own text the way others would! Abstractedly, from the side, as if through someone else's eyes. They pronounce their own mistakes, constructions inherent in their speech, but it is not at all a fact that they are digestible and understandable to everyone around.

##### What to do?

The first way is to send the text to your mail. And open the email as if from a stranger. Thus, you can try to deceive the brain and look at the text as if through someone else's eyes.

The second way is to record the text on a voice recorder and listen to it. By ear, it is easier to recognize places where the essence of the content is confusing or poorly perceived.
