Hey people, being a crypto enthusiast especially here the steem blockchain. i have come across terminology *open-source* especially *API* and I have wondered what exactly is  an API is?

And here is a product called **Slash** an adorable dog that will guide and teach you what is an API, the power of APIs, how to interact with it, or what to do with the data it returns.

You might have dabble in to API and you don't quite know how to use them or how to read their docs. 

Slash will guide by teaching you full working example of APIs that are open source, how they work, how they are made, in a simple and relatable way for your understanding and so you can create for yourself.
