State Of Steem

Just a short post today. A couple of my thoughts about steem and steemit.

Until now I followed posts of five or six people on steemit and I was well informed about what's going on.

But just in the last week, so much different stuff popping up that even these guys can't keep the track.

Palnet and pal are on fire, Steem-engine picking up in volume. A group from Korea announced new game coming on steem.

That's just a few things I find recently.

The funny thing is that most people think that steem is dying but as I can see the steem blockchain is expanding like wildfire.

Steemit inc. abandoned steemit user interface and they focused on the steem blockchain. They said they'll do that long ago.

Ned said that thousands of websites will use steem, not steemit.

We don't need steemit for blogging, gambling, vlogging and so on.

We need steem blockchain. And it's running smoothly as far I can see.

People proposing changes, bitching, rage quitting, protest power downing....

The lead Steemit inc developer once said that they don't care about first million users.

They know we'll be fine and thankful sometime down the road.

Now I start to understand what they envisioned.

Enough of dreaming.

Someone should give me a slap in the face and wake me up.

I'll put some nice shots from Dubai to lure a viewer or two.

Lovely photographs and analysis......yes....if one has been here any length of time.....one gets used to one thing....something guaranteed in the mix...and that is change.  

I just hope that since they have more invested than most....they will steer this ship in the right direction eventually.  These things take time.

You are right, which is why I am pissed the most recent news update from steemit is another damn hardfork that does NOTHING. It still will have issues, still be abused and still be cheated. It fixes nothing and thus what is the point. Instead that energy should have been focused on the blockchain and SMT. It still floors me how this company 1 and 1/2 years later still does not have SMT and literally millions of dollars have been blown. I question highly what all those developers did all year because to me it seems like nothing.

I think PalNet is a huge step in the right direction .  Lots happening.  Markets never reflect reality but eventually they will catch up.

I agree the blockchain is expanding and it does seem to be on fire. It is exciting times. However I still think steemit is great. I haven't found another site that like more for posting. There is something quite solid about the platform. Although it definitely needs to come out of Beta. It is also to my knowledge the only platform running ads and this gives it more security than the other entrypoints. There is a new helmmaster at steemit too and I think she has plans to expand and improve.

Also with a fiat backbone income stream, we can bring on more newbies, one hopes soon, who can interact without having to enter into the world of crypto. This might be what we need to attract those who are skeptical. Then once they see how it works, they may be more likely to invest.

I think Steem is taking longer than anticipated, as you say, to take off. But it is continuing to grow, nonetheless. I am trying out "Medium" but not sure I will get paid anything. So, Steemit is still the most rewarding platform for publishers yet.

I agree with you but I would prefer those @steemit guys would stop dropping hundreds of thousands of Steem at the exchanges and sell them at any price

Simply because they are selling at any price...this behavior is pulling steem down in the TMC rank making STEEM less attractive for investors
