Our plan for visiting Scotland was that as soon as we landed at Edinburgh airport and after renting a car, we would go straight north to get to the region called the Scottish Highland as soon as possible. To do so, after a short visit to the bridges over the Firth of Forth, we took the A9 motorway towards Dunblane. As it usually happens when driving on the highway, you don't see too many attractions, you just pass them with dizzying speed. And it was also the case in our case. It was only after an hour or so drive that I started admiring the pretty views. The first nice views outside the window appeared at Loch Lubnaig, then we drove up the pass and went down into the valley of another Loch Earn. Little by little, a conflict between me and Agatka was starting to emerge in the car. I wanted to stop almost every kilometer, and in British earrings I should rather say that every mile, take pictures and admire the beautiful landscape, and Agatka kept stopping me saying, wait a moment later, it will be even nicer. When we started to slowly climb the car up the Glen Ogle valley and we found ourselves almost at the top, from where there was a beautiful view of the valley and the viaduct running on the opposite slope of the valley, I couldn't stand it and, contrary to Agatka's protests, I stopped the car to take some photos.

Nasz plan zwiedzania Szkocji zakładał, że zaraz po wylądowaniu na lotnisku w Edynburgu i po wynajęciu auta ruszymy prosto na północ, aby jak najszybciej dostać się do regionu zwanego Szkockim Highland. Aby tak zrobić po krótkiej wizycie przy mostach znad zatoki Firth of Forth ruszyliśmy autostradą A9 w kierunku miasta Dunblane. Jak to zwykle bywa przy jeździe po autostradzie nie widzi się zbyt wielu atrakcji, tylko mija się je z zawrotną prędkością I tak było też w naszym przypadku. Dopiero po mniej więcej godzinnej jeździe zaczeło się, podziwianie ładnych widoczków. Pierwsze ładne widoki za oknem pojawiły się przy jeziorze Loch Lubnaig, potem podjechalismy na przełecz i zjechaliśmy w dolinę kolejngo jeziora Loch Earn. Pomału w aucie zaczynał rodzić sie konflikt pomiędzy mną a Agatką. Ja chciałem zatrzymywav się niemal co kilometr, a w brytyjskich earunkach powinienem raczej powiedzieć, że co mile, robić zdjęcia i podziwiać piękny krajobraz, a Agatka ciągle mnie stopowała mówiąc, poczekaj jeszcze chwilę później będzie jeszcze ładniej. Gdy zaczeliśmy powoli wspinać się samochodem w górę doliny Glen Ogle i znaleźlismy sie już niemal na szczycie skad rozpościerał sie przepiekny widok na dolinę oraz na wiadukt biegnący po przeciwległym zboczu doliny nie wytrzymałem i wbrew protestom Agatki zatrzymałem samochód aby zrobic kilka zdjęć.

The Glen Ogle valley is very charming, but I must admit that without the viaduct it would not be so pretty. Built in 1866, the viaduct consists of twelve arched spans 139 ft long and 44 ft high in total. In the past, there was rail traffic along the viaduct, and today, many years later, a bicycle hiking trail was run along it. The trail starts in the town of Lochearnhead, it is 6 miles long and ends in the town of Killin. This section is part of a longer Rob Roy Way trail. Certainly, if we ever came back here to Scotland at a different time of the year, we would try to walk it.

Dolina Glen Ogle jest bardzo urokliwa, ale trzeba przyanć szczeże, że bez wiaduktu nie byłaby, aż tak ładna. Zbudowany w 1866 roku wiadukt składa się z dwunastu łukowych przęseł o łacznej długości 139 ft i wysokości 44 ft. W przeszłości po wiadukcie odbywał się ruch kolejowy, a dzisiaj po wielu latach przeprowadzono po nim pieszo rowerowy szlak turystyczny. Szlak rozpoczyna się w mieście Lochearnhead liczy sobie 6 mil długości i kończy się w mieście Killin. Odcinek ten jest częścią dłuższego szlaku Rob Roy Way. Na pewno gdybyśmy kiedyś wrócili tutaj do Szkocji o innej porze roku spróbowalibyśmygo przejsć pieszo.
