Ilość atrakcji czekających na osoby poruszające się po Altiplano jest zawrotna, ale te trzy które za chwile opisze zasługują na szczególna uwagę. 

Pustynia Salwadora Dalego – pustynia, wyglądająca nie mniej nie więcej, ale tak samo jak te słynne tła z obrazów mistrza surrealizmu. Brakuje jeszcze tyko słoni na pajęczych nogach, poza tym wszystko się zgadza. Tajemnicze głazy wystające tu i ówdzie z piaszczystego krajobrazu, zmuszają do zastanowienia się, nad pytaniem pozostającym bez odpowiedzi - kto przyturlał tutaj te głazy?

The Sol de Mañana geothermal area - located at an altitude of almost 5000 meters above sea level and covering an area of ​​10 square kilometers, is full of muddy lakes and boiling pools. We visited this place at the crack of dawn, because supposedly then the water vapor escaping from the underground forms into the highest, most spectacular clouds, reaching even 50 meters.

Obszar geotermalny Sol de Mañana – znajdujące się na wysokości niemal 5000m n.p.m i zajmujący powierzchnie 10 kilometrów kwadratowych pełny jest jezior błotnistych oraz basenów z wrzącą wodą. To miejsce zwiedzaliśmy bladym świtem, bo ponoć wówczas wylatująca z pod ziemi para wodna formuje się w najwyższe, najbardziej widowiskowe obłoki wysokością osiągające nawet 50 metrów.

Laguna Colorada - it is probably one of the most recognizable landmarks of Bolivia. The lake stands out among many others for one specific thing, namely the waters of this lake take a reddish color on windy days. All this is due to a specific variety of algae, which have found ideal living conditions here at an altitude of over 4,000 meters above sea level. Access to sunlight for many weeks can be undisturbed even by the smallest cloud. When an intense wind blows, waves that move algae form on the surface of the lake and excite the sediment of algae pigmentation, which turns the water red. If we add huge flocks of flamingos crawling on the surface of the lake and white salt blooms on the shores of the lake, then we get a truly fabulous landscape.

Laguna Colorada - to chyba jedna z najbardziej rozpoznawalnych wizytówek Boliwi. Jezioro spośród wielu innych wyróżnia się jedną specyficzną rzeczą, mianowicie wody tego jeziora w wietrzne dni przybierają czerwonawy kolor. To wszystko dzieje się za sprawą specyficznej odmiany alg, które akurat tutaj na wysokości ponad 4 tysięcy metrów nad poziomem morza znalazły sobie idealne warunki do życia. Dostęp do promieni słonecznych przez długie tygodnie potrafi być niezakłócany nawet przez najmniejszy obłoczek. Gdy zawieje intensywny wiatr, wówczas na tafli jeziora tworzą się fale poruszające algami i wzniecający osad pigmentacji alg, który zabarwia wodę na kolor czerwony. Jeśli do tego dodamy ogromne stada flamingów człapiących po powierzchni jeziora oraz białe wykwity soli na brzegach jeziora wówczas otrzymujemy krajobraz iście bajeczny.
