Well, I don't need to know you. Because I know me. Let me explain.

Outside of this wild rollercoaster, I'm (well, I was) a micro-celebrity (sort of) too. Or, I used to be (long before Steemit.) I know what it's like to have a kickass Channel and uber-popular [Twitter account](https://twitter.com/@brix617) with tens of thousands of followers. I know what it's like to be MTV, BET, and go to red carpet events. And guess what, none of my *audience* is on Steemit.

Here, I'm just Omi. I guess I could also be BRIX here. But since Steemians don't seem to resonate with hyperbolic characters, I chose to just ***be myself***. 

The sad part is, I know a lot of YouTube and Instagram influencers have no self. Most have [Histrionic ](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/conditions/histrionic-personality-disorder) personality disorder and have found their lane in life— that's it. They're famous because they're a sexy blond haired, blue eyed, f-ck boy. Or, they're famous because they're an exotic looking, makeup tutorial-er, #gymselfie posting, Insta-baddie. Here, they are nothing-*ish.*

You have to EARN people's respect and trust here.

Your thumbnails making stupid faces at strange angles are overwhelming.
***Unless you're @truce— then you got that.***

The PERFECT HEADLINE that ranked you on Youtube, it won't rank you here.

When you do douchebag things like using the wrong tags for attention, you might get downvoted.

Nobody wants to buy anything from your Shopify store.

Nobody wants *your* relationship advice.

What's going to happen is you'll soon realize that your followers won't follow you to Steemit, and you're going to have to start from square one. And you're starting from square one on a site where 90% of the people here are more talented than you— low key. They're better at writing, better at art, better at videos, better at anything you can throw on here.

Someone told you that you can make money doing what you already do on Facebook or Youtube, right?

Lol.

Okay, well, ***that's true***. You can.

But not by doing the ***SAME*** things in the ***SAME WAYS*** you do on those sites. You need a whole new strategy, or you will be double f-cked because you will have told everyone about your switch— then you look like a lame here with no followers and no money in your posts.

TO NOT BE A LOSER
ON STEEMIT</h1></center>

People here are community oriented and not really into hierarchy and tyranny. That means the whole, "Look how superior I am!!!" shit got to go. Be yourself. Be HUMAN. Ask questions. Learn. You probably know NOTHING about this website. And that's going to bite you in the ass later.

Be vulnerable. You are. And keep your expectations in check. The ego and the belief that you're somebody special in life is going to get you disappointed and your esteem f-cked up. Here, you're a goldfish— unless you have invested $100,000— then by all means, tell me to shut-tf-up.

Very few people need to learn how to make money here. Be super careful because there are some powerful accounts that don't like marketers pulling people ***off*** the site into landing pages and other platforms. This is a cryptocurrency ***based*** website. Most MF's got money bruh. Folks likely know WAY more about money than your accountant and lawyer combined. So post your actual stuff here.

For example: Instead of repurposing your Youtube videos, make **new** videos about how to make a Youtube video (or Dtube video.) 

Or, instead do posting your Instagram photos— again, use them as header graphics to write a longer story about the day you took the photo. It will go further.

Basically, unless you're giving away free stuff or posting memes, I don't see many blank or pointless (or click-baiting) posts make any profit. 

Some people have done exceptionally well coming from other Social Media sites but all except one took on a HUGE role here to gain that respect. For instance, Jerry Banfield is a witness here. He's not just selling his eBooks. Once you're somebody, then sure, go for it. Before then, you look kinda douchey and plastic.

Lastly, drop the GET mentality and start GIVING.
* Give comments
* Give upvotes
* Give participation
* Give ideas
* Give feedback
* Give friendship
