This morning, I received a call from a dispatch rider. He'd already arrived at my estate gate with my delivery.

It wasn't even 7 a.m. when I checked the time. I was upset and wanted to go back to sleep, but I knew I couldn't. I was partially upset since I hadn't slept enough the night before. In fact, I slept until a few minutes after 5 a.m., only to be awakened before 7 a.m.

Regardless, I walked out to get my package because my customers were waiting. Money must be made, and not even the finest naps could stop that.

Writing this post reminds me of a moment earlier this year when things were very bad for me. It was the lowest period of my life.

I don't think I've ever been in a worse financial situation than I was this year. The problem was that instead of getting up and doing something about the situation, I wasted my time wallowing in self-pity and self-loathing.

I would spend most of my time crying, thinking, and worrying in bed from dawn to evening. I can tell you for free that all of those weeks I spent loathing how bad my circumstance was did not make it any better.

A number of my friends even called to find out what was wrong. I literally was ghosting everyone. They tried to pull me out of the dark hole I had created for myself. They tried motivating me to get up and do something right but I just couldn't muster the courage.  Nothing changed for the better until I made a strong resolve to do things differently.



**Remember this famous saying:**

>**"You can lead a horse to a stream, but you cannot force it to drink water."**



It's the same way that the good people in your corner will push, advise, and even try to make decisions for you, but there will be no positive outcome until you are ready to make a move. 

People will encourage you, but you will only improve if you are willing to do so.
As I've mentioned before, it was during that difficult financial period that I began dropshipping on the side. I can't tell you enough how much has changed since I chose to do something about the mess I was in.



**In conclusion, take charge of your life. Make a decision today. Nobody has ever benefited from procrastination or self-pity. If you wish to start a course, do so as soon as possible. If you want to learn a skill, start right now. Do you need a job? Clean up your résumé, update it, and put it out there. Do you intend to lose weight? By all means, start your workout session today!** 

No one…no one will help you live a better life if you’re not willing to do so yourself. Like me, I hope this piece inspires you to pick yourself up from that seemingly impossible situation that you’re in. 

If you want results, you must put in the work.
