<p><strong>Something weird happened yesterday...</strong></p>

<p>I was enjoying a very relaxing Sunday afternoon watching movies on my laptop in bed. A movement outside caught my eye, and I saw a man, dressed in a black pants and black shirt, walk quickly past my bedroom window, and turn the corner, going around to the back of my house. My first thought was that it was my estranged brother-in-law, the man moved a little like him.</p>

<p>I turned to my husband and exclaimed that someone was walking around the house! My husband immediately looked outside all the windows, and then went outside to check further. He came back and told me no-one was there, and that I must stop watching strange movies!!!</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>The funny thing is it was a bright, hot day yesterday and the man I saw was clearly defined, though moved so fast I only saw his clothes as he quickly rounded the corner. And although it was a lazy Sunday afternoon, no alcohol had been consumed!</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>I wasn't afraid, but we have definitely experienced an increase in odd incidents around the house. A couple of months ago I walked past my daughters' bedroom and a she has a beaded curtain in her doorway, which was blowing uniformly out, as if exposed to a strong, but steady wind. I checked her room (she wasn't home the night before) and there were no opens windows, or fans running. Ironically, my daughter likes the security of the the <em>noise </em>the curtain makes alerting her to anything entering her room, as she is much more sensitive to these occurrences than I am.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>I am used to my children telling me about <em>things </em>they have seen and I know my daughter is not 100% comfortable in the house, but I am not used to these experiences, though strangely I didn't feel scared by either of them. My parents, who live in a granny flat below the house, often report a <em>phantom knocker.</em> They fairly regularly receive exactly 3 sharp raps on their door, but no-one is ever there.</p>
<p><br></p>
<p>I like my house and feel comfortable, and as long as those who seem to be sharing the house with us don't frighten us, I suppose it's okay?! Though when I told one of my new butcher friends where I stayed, he said he never went into our cul de sac as it's too creepy!!!</p>

I was out playing with a Band a few years back , and Chris heard Footsteps past the Window , saw a Shadowy shape go over the Back Wall , was not at all surprised to find a shoe, and bloodstained pieces of a shirt in my Back yard when I came home. Strangely enough, neither of my Rottweiler's looked the least bit Hurt ( or upset) over the invasion of their privacy?

Would regularly come home to find fragments of apparel  lying around the yard, was not mine, so did not worry too much about it! Strangely enough, none of my belongings disappeared when Tolkien and Bree ruled the outside of our property!

Very intersting! @onetree.  Is your house the last house in the lane?  Which direction is your house facing?  I am thinking of Feng Shui cure.
You could write short stories! (They are most believable when based on real stories.  It's good that you are not afraid of these happenings. Just tell them to stay in their space and be peaceful.

No, we are the first house as you go into the cul de sac. I have no idea which way the house faces, I will have to find out. We do have a rich history in our area, and are also always bringing strange objects from the auctions home, which I think explains a lot of it.

It's funny I lost my reply to this twice! @onetree. 
I am glad that your house is not the last house in the cul de sac. My feng-shui teacher told me that the last house will get all the negative energies and it is very difficult to cure this situation.

She also told me that around noon and after lunch time, spirits have the ability to manifest themselves more easily.  Most of the spirits I saw happened around this noon time and often they were in black.
During the evening and night time, most appeared in white to me, except the really nasty ones are always in black.  I have never got the chance to ask them about their dress codes, they disappeared so fast.

Also, when we see these spirits in black, we often see them from the corners of our eyes, or in side glances.  I don't know if this is the case for you.  I sometimes see spirits that live in trees and old babana plants, we have a name for these lady spirits.  I never used to believe in these sorts of things until I started to have the ability to see things others cannot see!  It took quite sometime getting used to this.
Now, I know why I was given this ability.
