**Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.** — *Esther 4:16, KJV*

It's December already!

November usually happens fast without realizing it, but December, too, will end like a flash.

Our special events would be the Barrio Fiesta, then Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve. That's basically what December is, and it's done.

Another year comes to an end and we're all still trapped in a circus. I just hope a modern-day Elijah, Daniel, or Esther would help end this all.

No need to mask anything, at least anyone who read this can opt out upon reading the keywords they dislike. I just have trouble building optimism on this side of the planet.

Those who are suffocated by plandemic, "lockdowns", "crises", and "wars" need help. We are all affected, directly and indirectly, no matter which side we are standing on. We all need help.

The world just works like that, we are all pawns to this world-scale chessboard.

I obviously jumped off the board just a year ago. I'm more than exhausted... but I feel more capable now of just being silent and apolitical. Though, I'd say it's quite hard to experience the consequences first-hand.

But let me enjoy the suffering, I deserve it anyway.

We don't have a winter here in our country, but starting December until February, we usually have that shivering, cold wind from the north called Amihan.

With the colder and wetter weather, it isn't a good time to grow vegetables now. It's even more muddy now, I could sink my feet a few more inches into the ground.

My option is to grow crops that can survive the weather until next year. That's why I'm planting more rootcrops.

I'm adding a new variety of sweet potato, it is like the native ones, purple-skinned and white-fleshed, but should have bigger tubers upon harvest. The ones I am planting are 'rejects' as they are given for free.

I'll use it to grow more slips to propagate it in the food forest.

I took some Cocoyam tubers from our storage and also uprooted some re-grown Cocoyam from the home garden. The tubers takes about six months to re-grow, but it's worth the wait.

It is very low maintenance and will grow tall without fertilizer or anything, but you need to cover its 'mother' corm once it grows out of the ground to bring in more tubers during the harvest.

In about two weeks, I'll be harvesting the sweet potatoes I planted last October. Just in time for the holidays. We usually just boil sweet potatoes and eat it as-is, but I will be exploring other fun recipes such as cakes, mochi, and bobba-balls made from orange-fleshed sweet potatoes.

Last year's holiday had been a bit gray, due to the super typhoon and the pandemic mandates. I'm hoping this time, it would be merrier, inclusive to all people not just the vaccinated folks.

I'm hoping for a more humane world and opportunities shared for everyone, I hope it start manifesting before the year ends.
