Steem power is crucial for success on Steemit. SP defines the extent to which you can support other people's content and also how other people perceive you.If you have a lot of SP, then people do think that you are earnest about the platform and want to grow here. Essentially Steemians judge you by the amount of Steem Power you got.

When I first joined Steemit I looked at how much top people here earn. I was amazed and thought like, "Oh my gosh, montly salary of the most russians for one post!". Then I joined the platform. At first I kinda was very glad that I've got 0,01$ upvote from somebody. It motivated me to go further. Yeah, but my belief that a lot of money can be made here hasn't changed since. Cause that's the truth.

I was not experienced in creating groups on Facebook, Instagram, or whatever, and at first it felt kinda hard to get people to follow me, but then I realised that this is the question of the quality of your posts.
# Steemit is still in its early stage
Look at the top people on Steemit - they have insanely low number of followers compared to other media! What is 21 thousand to Facebook? A small group. What is 21 thousand to vkontakte.com? A very small group that can be created without marketing even. On Steemit it is regarded as a big following. *But not for a long time.* Everything will change in 2018, and the ones who are biting the bullet and creating their follower base would prosper if not in 2018, then in 2019.
