Crypto has a Bad PR, Branding, and Lack of Knowledge Gap: We need to solve these issues

# Crypto needs more Good and Positive PR:

To be very honest with you, I think that the [crypto](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency) mass adoption that we all want to see happen has not happened yet due to some very bad PR that crypto and the crypto space have. Now here is what I mean, to the layman on the street today, anytime they hear crypto they automatically think of it as a Fraud asset or a Ponzi Scheme, not as a [currency](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-money) and a great investment opportunity that it is.

If you stay or live in my country you will be able to relate and understand the bad PR I am talking about, A lot of people have tagged crypto as something that only fraudsters use and do. So immediately you tell someone that you are into crypto or that you are a [crypto](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/cryptocurrency) enthusiast, the next thing that comes to their mind is that you are a fraudster, What you tell them is that you are into crypto but what they hear or think in their minds is that you are a fraudster.

##  How Bad Crypto PR is, and the reasons why, using my country as a case study:

In this post, I will be using my country as a case study but what I would be talking about, still affects everyone all over the world, That being said, sometime last year I was looking for an apartment to lease or rent, and I saw one that was very nice, it had everything anyone can ask for, and also it was very very affordable but because I told the landlord or owner of the house that I am into crypto when he asked me what I do for a living, I lost the apartment immediately after we had agreed on everything and it was remaining for me to make the [payment](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-payment). I overheard him tell the agent who took me to the place that he did not want any fraudsters in his apartment, and that crypto is for criminals.


The funny part is that most fraudsters that these landlords are running from do not use crypto or know anything about it but the bad PR crypto already has suggested that crypto is a fraud and is used by fraudsters. I had to tell my current landlord that I am a content writer for a news platform before he agreed to lease the apartment to me, after so many rejections because I was into crypto. Crypto needs to have a good and positive PR out there to help onboard more people into the crypto space and the only way for us to do that is to educate more and more people about crypto.


# In Summary:
The reason why crypto mass adoption is yet to happen is because of the Bad PR, Branding, and a Huge Lack of Knowledge of Gap.
