# Would you rather Save or Invest?

So this question is something that someone asked on Crypto Twitter earlier this week, before I give my answer I will put out what a lot of people in the comment section responded with as their answer, first a majority of people went for saving because it sounds and it is a cheaper and saver opinion because there is zero to no loss encountered of involved as long as your countries currency does not depreciate against the dollar like the way my country's currency does, if not you would be losing money when you save, because yes the amount you put into the bank will reduce a bit due to unnecessary charges.

But that is not the major problem, the major problem is the fact that the buying power or value of the money you are saving in your local currency using my country's naira as an example, the value of the naira keeps depreciating against the dollar every day, so any money sitting in your bank account might or will later have half the buying power or value it had when you initially put it in the bank, meaning if you are saving you are losing money due to inflation and increase of dollar against the naira.

Then for those that want to invest, which if you think about it logically, if you are staying in my country where our country's currency keeps depreciating in value against the dollar it will be smarter to invest than to save where the value of your money would be less than you initially deposited it, because at least when you invest and invest rightly your money would be working for you and also your money would be increasing but most people would not see it that way because they are afraid to take risks, which why they would choose saving over investing.


But now there is a third and better option which is **HBD Savings**, so since some people like to save and others like to invest, HBD savings is the best option to go with since it gives you the opportunity to **Save** like in your normal bank account without necessary charges and you would not be afraid of its value reducing against the dollar because it is a stablecoin and its value is pegged to 1 dollar, also **HBD Savings** serves as an Investment because your money being saved gives you a 20% APR of your money locked in HBD savings.
