Insane and unexpected crypto events that have happened in the past few months

This is a continuation of my post yesterday on the [2022 Recap: On the Insane, Brutal and Eventful few months we have had in the Crypto Space - PART 1](https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@onwugbenuvictor/2022-recap-on-the-insane-brutal-and-eventful-few-months-we-have-had-in-the-crypto-space-part-1), so 4 months ago the biggest crypto event that happens every year, which is the **Bitcoin Conference that holds in Miami** had a lot of exciting reveals like the unveiling of the Miami "charging bull" statue called the "Miami Bull", which is the robot form of the wall streets charging bull, the 3000 pound Miami bull statue has a distinctive feature of crypto enthusiasts which is the "laser eyes feature ", during the same Bitcoin 2022 conference the Mayor of Miami Francis Suarez advocated that the next President of the United States would be a Pro-Crypto candidate and before I forget strike also made a big announcement which made bitcoin legal tender in the U.S. without it being legal tender, when Jack Mallers announced that Strike would partner with Shopify’s global network of merchants to allow payments for products and services in Bitcoin.

# Crypto Unexpected Events

Unfortunately, during the Bitcoin conference, the price of Bitcoin dropped from $47k to $43k instead of going up to $50k and above, despite that was not a win for Bitcoin in terms of price, Bitcoin still won in terms of adoption and PR, Janet Yellen the United States Treasury Secretary and the former Fed Reserve Chairperson who was also one of the biggest crypto skeptics in past admitted that she was wrong about Bitcoin and crypto when she called it a scam, that she doesn't believe it is a good store of value and that it was used by drug dealers and money laundering. A few months after in April during her speech at American University, she talked about Bitcoin and digital assets like she was a long-time investor, hitting all the right spots saying good things about crypto and singing its praises, no one expected that would ever happen.

# Sports and Crypto

Crypto.com became FIFA world cup 2022 new official sponsor, speaking of sports and crypto, we turned the super bowl into a crypto bowl, despite the price of the NFL super bowl 30-second advert being worth $6 million, the crypto industry still dominated the NFL super bowl Ads slots with the likes of Crypto.com, FTX, Bitbuy, Coinbase,  eToro e.t.c.  The Crypto.com super bowl Ads were my favorites because they featured LeBron James and Matt Damon. The super bowl or should I say crypto bowl Ads really put crypto out there and I think helped increase the adoption rate of crypto despite the bear market.  

# Michael Saylor And Bitcoin Shopping Sphere

So 4 months ago before his recent Bitcoin purchase, Michael Saylor took a collateralized loan from Silvergate Bank worth $205 million to buy more bitcoin, although he is getting trolled for it now, because of the current Bitcoin prices.

# Other Crypto Events 

The 19,000,000th Bitcoin was mined 4 months ago, meaning that Bitcoin is getting more scarce by the day, Kyrgyzstan took advantage of the crypto booming market then to advance itself technologically, Binance was the official partner and sponsor of the 64th Grammy Awards, the Bitfinex crypto hack recovery, and the Charlie Munger huge confusion on where stand between crypto and fiat currency because of this statement **crypto a "venereal disease" and fiat currency is “going to zero”.** **To Be Continued**
