If you have not learned anything this year just know this **"Not Your Keys Not Your Crypto"** is not a **Joke** but **Huge Fact** and it is something that has been made obviously this year since Terra labs failed projects LUNA and UST crashed 100% of their values and that left the crypto market in huge chaos some months back around may if am not mistaken, the same Terra labs projects crash led to a lot of crypto exchanges and crypto lending Firms to file for bankruptcy due huge amount funds lost from investing in LUNA and UST directly or indirectly.

Most of these crypto exchanges and crypto lending firms lost millions and even billions to the Terra LUNA and UST crash and they are not alone, a lot of individuals lost their life savings and even borrowed loan to invest in LUNA at the time it was pumping and everyone thoughtit was the new rising star as it was amongst the top 10 cryptocurrencies by market cap value but when it crashed, it cleaned a lot of investors out turning a lot of millionaires and billionaires to thousandaires or worse, made them broke, honestly i really feel bad for them but then there is nothing i or anyone else can do to change their situation or return them back to their initial status before LUNA and UST Crashed, what has happened has happened and has thought a lot of us and them some really costly and painful lesson.

Storing your Bitcoin or Crypto in a cold wallet has become the new normal for safety sake and i don't blame people choosing and moving their crypto or coins off crypto exchanges because with the number of crypto exchanges and crypto companies or crypto lending firms that have collapsed or filed for bankruptcy this year, but many of us are still taking the risk of leaving their funds on crypto exchanges, maybe because they think their coins a too small in value to be moved off crypto exchanges or are thinking about the cost of buying a crypto cold wallet or ledger. 


But they should know this any platform could fail regardless of how robust it looks. Self-custodial wallets are the best to store assets at the moment due to the amount of exchange filing for bankruptcy and holding their customer's money hostage, and that money might be lost forever.
