US CBDC “Won’t Be Anonymous,” Says FED Chair Jerome Powell throwing a direct shot at Decentralization

Ok, guys my head just exploded as I watched a recent video of the Federal Reserve System chairman, Jerome Powell, taking a direct shot at the creator and founder of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto, and decentralization, when he said that if the United States were to a central bank digital currency (CBDC) it would not be an anonymous pair of instrument when he was speaking about CBDC in a panel discussion on digital finance by Banque de France.

We all know the Federal Reserve System, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the Government never liked crypto and the fact that it is decentralized in the first place because that means they can not control crypto, manipulate it or use it to their own personal advantage and also they hate the fact that it is giving power back to the people, which makes them scared, so when the federal reserve system Jerome Powell threw his shot at decentralization, hence Satoshi Nakamoto for giving us the first ever crypto Bitcoin and decentralized money that its transactions are anonymous and are not made known to the public.


So in my opinion, Jerome Powell can shut his shots at Decentralization and Satoshi Nakamura for all we care, those of us who love Crypto and Decentralization would still choose Crypto over fiat currency and its centralized system anytime any day, as long as we know the government are scared of crypto and can not control it no matter how hard they try and they have tried, our money in crypto is ours and can not be reached by the government and their unfavorable conditions that favor them alone.

# The FED Chairman's Full Speech About US CBDC

Jerome Powell stated that if the United States were to pursue a CBDC, it should have four characteristics. The first one that Powell stated is that it should be **“intermediated.”** Secondly, it should be **“privacy protected.”** Thirdly, Powell addressed that it should be **“identity verified.”** This means that the US central bank digital currency would not be an anonymous instrument. The details of the holder and to whom and where it is transferred will be public.
