This time I am going to show you how to change the rear shock absorbers of a Chevrolet Optra car, in reality this job is simple, we only need the spiral pick-up and the keys to work, but also the desire to do the job, because there is who has the tools and does not dare to do it, well friends, I will tell you that on one occasion I did not have a spiral press and I did it by collecting the spiral with wire and the car jack, of course the ideal is to carry out the work with the tools adequate, but if we don't have them and we feel like doing things, surely we can invent anything.

En esta oportunidad les voy a mostrar la forma de cambiar los amortiguadores traseros de un carro Chevrolet Optra, en realidad, este trabajo es sencillo, lo único que necesitamos es el recoge espiral y las llaves para trabajar, aunque también las ganas de hacer el trabajo, porque hay quienes tienen las herramientas y no se atreven a hacerlo, bueno amigos, les cuento que en una oportunidad no tenia un recoge espiral y lo hice recogiendo el espiral con alambre y el gato del carro, claro que lo ideal es realizar los trabajos con las herramientas adecuadas, pero si no las tenemos y hay ganas para hacer las cosas, seguro que cualquier cosa inventamos.

# Replacing the rear shocks on my chevrolet optra // Cambiando los amortiguadores traseros de mi chevrolet Optra

For a few weeks I was about to change the rear shock absorbers of my car, because it was jumping a lot, practically the passenger side was free, so today in the afternoon, despite the rain, I decided to mount these shock absorbers.

>Desde hace unas semanas estaba por cambiar los amortiguadores traseros de mi carro, porque estaba saltando mucho, prácticamente el lado del copiloto estaba como libre, así que hoy en la tarde, a pesar de la lluvia, decidí montar estos amortiguadores.

### Process: / Procedimiento:

- The first thing I will do is to place is to raise the carriage to place the support support, which is known as a "donkey", this tool is important, because this way we can work with more confidence, well, once the carriage is raised, we proceed to remove the rubber, I'm going to start on the right side, and then continue with the left side:

>- Lo primero que haré es colocar es levantar el carro para colocar el soporte de apoyo, lo que se conoce como "burro", esta herramienta es importante, porque así podemos trabajar con más confianza, bueno, una vez levantado el carro se procede a retirar el caucho, voy a comenzar por el lado derecho, para después continuar con el lado izquierdo:

- Now I am going to remove the shock absorber, I am going to start by loosening the three upper nuts of the shock absorber base, to do this we first remove the two plastic rivets that hold the cover behind the back of the rear seat, it is not necessary to remove the entire cover, we only open it a little to reach in with the 12-inch wrench:

>- Ahora voy a retirar el amortiguador, voy a comenzar aflojando las tres tuercas superiores de la base del amortiguador, para hacer esto, primero quitamos los dos remaches plásticos que sujetan la tapa que está detrás del espaldar del asiento trasero, no es necesario remover toda la tapa, solo la abrimos un poco para meter la mano con la llave de 12 pulgadas:

- The following will be, remove the nut that holds the union with the shock absorber and the hook of the brake league hose:

- In this step we remove the screws that hold the shock absorber with the mutant spider, after this we remove the shock absorber:

>- En este paso retiramos los tornillos que sujetan al amortiguador con el mutante araña, después de esto retiramos el amortiguador:

- Now I am going to place the two bars with their hooks to pick up the spirals, the idea is to pick up the spiral little by little until the spiral stops exerting pressure on the base, to be able to loosen the nut of the axis, after this we remove the shock absorber:

>- Ahora voy a colocar las dos barras con sus ganchos para recoger los espirales, la idea es recoger poco a poco el espiral hasta que el espiral deje de hacer presión sobre la base, para poder aflojar la tuerca del eje, después de esto retiramos el amortiguador:

- Now I am going to place the new shock absorber and the new base inside the spiral, after this, I am going to loosen the two nuts of the spiral pick-up until it is completely released and that's it:

>- Ahora voy a colocar dentro del espiral el nuevo amortiguador y la base nueva, después de esto, voy a aflojar las dos tuercas del recoge espiral hasta soltarlo completamente y listo:

Well friends, now to mount the new shock absorbers in the same way that we disassembled, we adjust the shock absorber of the upper part of the trunk and of the mutant or spider:
