Hoy quiero compartir con uds el principio de funcionamiento de un equipo que recibí para realizarle mantenimiento preventivo. El equipo es comunmente llamado CPAP (presión positiva continua en las vías respiratorias) es un equipo mayormente usado en pacientes que sufren apnea osbstructiva del sueño. Bueno, de antemano les agradezco su atención y espero que se queden hasta el final de la publicación.</p></div>

<div class="text-justify">La terapia con presión positiva continua en las vías respiratorias usa un dispositivo que se encarga de mantener un flujo de aire constante dentro de los pulmones, esto hace que la traquea no se cierre y la persona no experimente apneas del sueño. Esta terapia se usa para ese tipo de pacientes que por diversos problemas respiratorios tienen eventos de obstrucción respiratoria en las noches, de allí que el dispositivo CPAP sea tan útil para estos pacientes. Despues de comenzar a usar este equipo durante las noches los pacientes comienzan a experimentar mejor concentración y enfoque, menos cansancio en el dia, mas productividad y energía fisica etc..</p></div>.

<div class="text-justify">Estos equipos son sumamente delicados, tienen sensores de presión diferencial, microcontroladores, componentes de montaje superficial, válvulas neumáticas y otros elementos que se deben manipular con extremo cuidado para no descalibrarlos y general algún daño al equipo y al paciente. Estos equipos CPAP que recibí son de un hospital de mi ciudad, y básicamente el mantenimiento que les realicé, fue sencillo.</p></div>

<div class="text-justify">A la tarjeta electrónica de control y la fuente de poder ac/dc se le aplicó un baño químico anticorrosivo para remover el sulfato de los contactos producido por la humedad y el polvo,el equipo también posee unos filtros de aire para no permitir el paso del polvo estos filtros se les removio el polvo y se volvieron a instalar, el CPAP tiene una SD card extraible donde guarda la informacion de los pacientes, esta memoria se extrajo y se borraron todos los datos para liberar espacio, se le retiro el polvo con una sopladora y finalmente se desinfectó con amonio cuaternario, recordemos que este equipo puede albergar bacterias y virus, por lo tanto el mantenimiento debe hacerse con equipo de protección. </p></div>

><div class="text-justify">The electronic control card and the ac/dc power supply were given an anticorrosive chemical bath to remove the sulfate from the contacts produced by humidity and dust, the equipment also has air filters to keep out the dust, these filters were removed and the dust was reinstalled, The CPAP has a removable SD card which stores patient information, this memory was extracted and all data were deleted to free up space, the dust was removed with a blower and finally disinfected with quaternary ammonium, remember that this equipment can harbor bacteria and viruses, so maintenance should be done with protective equipment.</p></div>

Como se puede apreciar, hay gran cantidad de componentes de montaje superficial, una pila de BIOS, el display. microcontroladores, transistores y demás componentes que son susceptibles a la estática del cuerpo humano, por ello estoy usando en la foto un guante antiestática.</p></div>

<div class="text-justify">En esta fotografía se puede ver un sensor de presión diferencial, es muy importante verificar en este tipo de equipos que el sensor este en buen estado, eventualmente los conectores donde van las mangueras de aire se pueden partir, esto puede ocasionar fugas de aire y cualquier otro daño al equipo. Los sensores de presión diferencial sirven para realizar dos mediciones en dos puntos distintos, esa diferencia de presión es una información importante para el correcto funcionamiento del equipo. Por ello, hay que manipular con mucho cuidado este sensor limpiarlo suavemente con un hisopo y alcohol absoluto,también hay que verificar que las mangueras no estén obstruidas.</p></div>

<div class="text-justify">Bueno, aquí había terminado con el primer CPAP eran cuatro que necesitaban el mantenimiento preventivo, pero como pueden ver ya allí había armado el primer equipo de forma exitosa y sin problemas. Espero que esta publicación haya aportado algo de valor a la comunidad, como algunos saben soy especialista en equipos médicos y me encargo sobre todo de la reparación y mantenimiento de los mismos.</p></div>
