En el juego frente a Ecuador y todos imaginábamos que Soteldo era inamovible por el gran partido que hizo ante Brasil, sin embargo fuentes de prensa informaron que el jugador había presentado molestias físicas, versión que desmintieron algunos periodistas alegando que Yeferson Soteldo y Josua Mejías, otro que tampoco fue de la partida, fueron apartados del equipo nacional por casos de indisciplina, lo del jugador del Toronto ya tiene varios precedentes por su falta de respeto al trabajo en otros clubes.
"Crea fama y acuestate a dormir" así dice un dicho conocido, y no justifico la falta de estos jugadores pero más allá creo; que debió mantenerse esta información dentro del grupo, la federación y los periodistas que se enteraron del supuesto acto de indisciplina, soy de los que piensa que los trapos sucios se lavan en la casa, porque al hacerlo público va a tener su repercusión con comentarios negativos sobre todo de uno de los mejores jugadores del momento en nuestra selección, donde todos son necesarios e importantes, son temas que deben manejarse con mucha ética y profesionalismo sobre todo por periodistas y medio s de comunicación.
Ahora bien la federacion debera de hacer los correctivos y aplicar sanciones en estos casos, porque el más señalado es Soteldo y como reza el refrán, "la cuerda revienta por el lado más flojo" tal vez el más salpicado es el, pero dentro de la Vinotinto hubo casos en el pasado, que solo quedaron alli y no se les dio la importancia como ahora, y de alli deben partir los periodista antes de crear una matriz de opinión, porque primero están poniendo entredichos la información oficial del máximo órgano que rige el fútbol en Venezuela, y segundo que pasa si mañana los mismos jugadores desmienten tal afirmación, por eso hay que ser muy cuidadosos en esta labor.

Venezuela viajó a chile para enfrentar a la roja este jueves, y aparte de Soteldo y Mejías tampoco contará Jhon con Chancellor que ha marcado dos tantos en estas eliminatorias, ni Junior Moreno por acumulacion de tarjetas, pero sigue siendo noticia nuestra selección porque ya en territorio chileno, su programa de entrenamiento se vio dificultado, porque las autoridades sanitarias de ese país acudieron al hotel de concentración y no les permitieron la salida del hotel hasta su sitio de entrenamiento alegando que no cumplian con el plan de vacunación por covid 19 esto por supuesto irrito a las autoridades de la federación venezolana de fútbol quienes alegaron que todo el plantel dio “negativo” en los exámenes PCR realizados al llegar a Chile.
Decenas de hinchas venezolanos esperaban a los jugadores fuera del hotel y otros más en el estadio de Colo Colo donde se realizaría el entrenamiento, pero el equipo encabezado por el técnico Leo González decidió entrenar en el hotel, porque las autoridades sanitarias tardaron en dar el permiso, lo cierto es que el dia de hoy tuvieron por fin su práctica, hay que recalcar que el vicepresidente de FVF José Antonio Quintero, en su cuenta en la red social twitter escribió lo siguiente; “Los puntos se deben disputar dentro de la cancha. NO fuera de ella”, refiriéndose al caso.
Pero más allá de la queja y el protocolo que pareciera no estar claro en algunos países creo que CONMEBOL, debería de crear como especie de un canal donde estos casos queden especificados por el bien del fútbol porque a Argentina también se le presentó un inconveniente frente a Brasil en territorio Amazónico.
Son detalles que hay que ir corrigiendo a nivel de organización, porque pudiera esto prestarse para algún tipo de amaño trampa para beneficiar o perjudicar alguna selección, lo cierto es que Venezuela solo tendrá un entrenamiento a campo abierto antes de enfrentar a la roja.

Sigue la incertidumbre y la controversia, todo parece indicar que Leo González no continuará como técnico interino de la selección venezolana después del partido ante Chile; y desde ya se asoman algunos nombres como el de Jorge Luis Pinto quien dirigió al deportivo Táchira entre 2010 y 2011 con quienes quedó campeón, además de dirigir a nivel de selecciones a Colombia, Honduras y Costa Rica. José Néstor Pékerman argentino con un amplio curriculum y que suena como candidato a tomar las riendas del combinado, Miguel Angel Russo ex DT del Boca Junior, al momento de su salida del club argentino fue contactado por la FVF pero para el momento no se concretó nada con el, y el otro con el que habían hablado es Rogério Ceni brasileño que ya queda descartado porque firmó contrato para dirigir al Sao Paulo tras la salida de Hernán Crespo del banquillo del club paulista.
Ahora bien creo que todo ciclo deja marca un precedente, y aunque la vinotinto matemáticamente no está eliminada a mi parecer se debe dejar a Leo González por lo menos hasta el final de esta eliminatoria e iniciar un proceso de reestructuración de cara al futuro.
Mientras tantos en las redes dos referentes que no están en la convocatoria de esta triple fecha, siguen causando polémica y es que en días recientes Salomón Rondón respondía a un hincha un post en redes sociales al que este hacía referencia donde lo calificó de "pecho frío" y que aseguró no se le puede comparar con Soteldo.
A lo que el delantero respondió: "Ya te enterarás!!! Jajaja pobre de ti cuando se te caiga un ídolo", esto generó cierta revoltura entre muchos fanáticos y periodistas.
Otro que causó polémica con su respuesta a un hincha de la selección fue Josef Martínez después que el fanático escribiera "deseó que nunca más volviera a venir con el combinado de Venezuela a lo que el jugador respondió "OJALÁ".
Por situaciones como esta es que pienso que debe haber alguien que ponga orden dentro del combinado y se le debe dar un voto de confianza a Leo González para que lime asperezas, haga una depuración y que este ciclo marque un precedente de cara a la contratación de un DT extranjero, amanecerá y veremos, saludos, exitos y bendiciones.
