I'm sorry to hear you were so very sick, and hope you are now much better. That's a long time to be ill, and over the holidays, too. A bummer for all of you. 

I also head to nature as soon as I can muster the energy after being ill. I always feel much better immediately after being outside, at least in my outlook on life. And that is key to actually getting all the way better for me - happiness is the best healer. I'm glad, at least, that you had so much family around to help you recover.
