Y es que, todo antes de su ingresó en el encuentro pareciera intrascendente, pero habrá que relatarlo con tal de contar la historia al completo; corría el minuto 15’ cuando en una gran transición de pelota, los locales abrieron el juego buscando la incorporación de Blind por el lado izquierdo, gran servicio del defensor del Ajax para encontrar el cabezazo de Bergwijn que abría el marcador. 3 minutos más tarde, al 19’, alcanzarían los daneses tras un disparo rebotado en la barrera que recogió Joakim Mæhle para asistir con un preciso servicio la incorporación de Vestergaard.
