Today I wanna share you my own experience in reaching my dream. I studied high school Year 13 in Christchurch New Zealand, by that time I had a dream that I wanted to be a Architect, thereby I worked really industrious. Luckily, I got all subjects except art (I am not a good painter lol) ranked first place in the form and I got fairly good result in the public examation (NZQA). In the early morning on 15th July 2009, I roused slowly from a deep sleep as I felt that the bed was shaking, I didn’t know what was happening at that time as I had never experienced an earthquake. Within 10 seconds, my room-mate woke and pull me off the bed and brought me down to the first floor and we ran outside the house. I remember that I still didn’t figure out what was happening, it was just a like a dream to me. Indeed, that was a massive 7.8 magnitude earthquake pummeled and it changed my life.  Since there were numberous aftershock, my parents did not allow me to stay in New Zealand to continue my study. Therefore, I applied universities in the UK and I got the offer successfully. At that time I reckoned everything should be fine and go on track, unfortunately I received another bad news- my parents were divorced. I am not going to mention the reason in details, most of all, my mom was heartbroken, hence I moved back to my hometown. Unfortunately, universities in my hometown does not accept my qualiation in New Zealand, it is highly impossible for me to have an Architect degree offer here, I’ve lost all hope at that time. "Everything will be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." I choose to move on instead of giving up. Despite I took longer time to reach my dream , eventually I completed my higher dipoloma and part-time bachelor degree in construction related subject. Today, I have been working in the construction industry for 4 years. My next challenge – to be qualified within 5 years !!! I hope my story motivated you. “Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”
