A lo largo de mi vida me he preguntado si realmente existía el cielo y el infierno. Esos dos lugares representados en diversas religiones pero principalmente en la judeo-cristiana arraigados en el imaginario popular. Por un lado el cielo se representa como un paraíso idílico donde no hay sufrimiento, enfermedad, hambre o dolor, todos aquellos males que Dios puso a la humanidad como castigo por comer del fruto del conocimiento. Por el otro tenemos al infierno; el lugar donde las almas sufren por sus pecados, atormentadas en las llamas del inframundo por los siglos del los siglos amén.

Estas dos opciones que se nos presentan dependiendo de nuestras acciones en vida se supone que son las que determinan cual será nuestro destino en la otra vida. También se nos dice que si nos arrepentimos en vida y buscamos a Dios podemos tener una oportunidad de acceder al cielo, pero ¿Quién realmente está seguro de que esto es así?. Muchos podrán argumentar que esto es así por los diversos testimonios de personas que han muerto durante varios minutos y han "visto" el cielo o algo parecido al infierno. Pero a pesar de todo eso no es una evidencia lo suficientemente solida como para asegurar que estos dos lugares existen. 

De lo que si tenemos certeza es que estamos vivos y que esta vida puede ser nuestro infierno o nuestro paraíso dependiendo de nuestras acciones en vida. Pero hay unos infiernos peores que otros, puede que hayas tomado las decisiones correctas para tener una vida estable y sin carencias, sin embargo si tu vida te parece vacía y carente de sabor lo mas seguro es que vivas en un infierno mental. Yo mismo me pongo a reflexionar y veo que yo solo me he creado un infierno en vida del que siento que no puedo escapar, sin embargo sea cual sea el infierno en el que vivas hay una herramienta que nos puede ayudar: la resiliencia. Bien usada la resiliencia puede ser una gran arma para poder sobre llevar lo que sea, y cuando digo lo que sea me refiero a LO QUE SEA. Pero quiero dejar eso para un próximo blog para explicar mejor como me ayudó a mi y me sigue ayudando para superar las dificultades del día a día.

Throughout my life I have wondered if heaven and hell really existed. Those two places represented in different religions but mainly in the Judeo-Christian one, rooted in the popular imaginary. On the one hand, heaven is represented as an idyllic paradise where there is no suffering, disease, hunger or pain, all those evils that God put on mankind as punishment for eating the fruit of knowledge. On the other side we have hell; the place where souls suffer for their sins, tormented in the flames of the underworld forever and ever.

These two options presented to us depending on our actions in life are supposed to determine our destiny in the afterlife. We are also told that if we repent during our lifetime and seek God we may have a chance to enter heaven, but who is really sure that this is so? Many may argue that this is so because of the various testimonies of people who have died for several minutes and have "seen" heaven or something like hell. But in spite of all that, it is not solid enough evidence to be sure that these two places exist. 

What we do know for sure is that we are alive and that this life can be our hell or our paradise depending on our actions in life. But there are some hells worse than others, you may have made the right decisions to have a stable life without shortages, however if your life seems empty and lacking in flavor you most likely live in a mental hell. I myself reflect and I see that I have created a hell in life from which I feel I cannot escape, however whatever the hell you live in there is a tool that can help us: resilience. Well used resilience can be a great weapon to be able to cope with anything, and when I say anything I mean ANYTHING. But I want to leave that for a future blog to better explain how it helped me and still helps me to overcome the difficulties of everyday life.
