Unknown to me, I wasn't and I ended up making the post on my blog. Well, I did take it down immediately [**and reposted it on the correct blog**](https://steemit.com/health/@stach.pay/smelly-armpits-why-do-i-have-them) but you know, the link sticks to mine. So in case, you're wondering why the topic and content up on my blog is a lot different from what the link says, now you know. Lol. I know, it's that terrible. I'm also not used to posting in the health niche, but since the first tag won't go away, I guess I'd have to do it. Someone just took the leash off a foodie! Here goes nothing. Briefly, let's discuss healthy diets and why it's important for everyone to stick to it. # <center></center> ## Eating Healthily. -- What does it mean? Regardless of what you think you know about nutrition and dieting, eating healthily doesn't at all connote a strict plan where you're being sworn to dietary limitations and rules of avoiding the foods you love. No. Rather, it focuses more on you enjoying yourself while at the same time getting the best you can out of every single meal. It's about your health, while at the same time focusing on how you feel about what you're eating. <div class="pull-right"><center><img src="https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmcjUEyoQUrjNpKQzbHkRdYnUV46NosaHinev71LXvX1QZ/image.png" /><br/><em><a href="https://pixnio.com/food-and-drink/spaghetti-food-pasta-cup-ceramics-object-detail"><sub>Pixnio, CCO.</sub></a></em></center></div A healthy diet doesn't have to be too bogus or overcomplicated, nor does it require a truckload of money. With the right knowledge and just a small amount of money, one could have a healthy meal every day. When it comes to healthy eating, perhaps the main idea one should garner is that it pulls you towards eating real food as opposed to processed food and all the junk stuff we have sold on the internet these days. Studies have shown that eating foods that are closer to nature could go a long way in affecting how you generally feel, think and look. Hence, it's importance cannot really be overemphasized. Like most things in life, healthy eating has to be thought-out and planned for, at least in parts. Below are some really basic habits you should adapt to in your daily feeding lifestyle. <center></center> ### 1. Know yourself, know your foods. <div class="pull-right"><center><img src="https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/e/e3/Salmon_Cream_Cheese_Sandwiches.jpg" /><br/><em><a href="https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Sandwich"><sub>Image: Wikimedia, Commons.</sub></a></em></center></div This is super important. While you munch away on that tasty bowl of salad, perhaps it's okay to pull out your mobile phone and *Google* what nutrients salads contain and why they're so tasty. It's okay to check with your doctor if you feel you have an allergy towards any kind of meal and as well see if it's something you could live without or if there are alternatives. Know what you love and enjoy eating, know the ones you dislike or generally indifferent to. Also get to understand how food works, and how much they contribute to your well being. The six classes of food is a god place to start! # <center></center> ### 2. Prepare your own meals. <div class="pull-left"><center><img src="https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4363/36308426744_77a5781a50_b.jpg" /><br/><em><a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/30478819@N08/36308426744"><sub>Home made Corn soup. Image: Flickr.</sub></a></em></center></div We're such lazy asses at times, and sometimes, it's way to binge all day than get up from the couch and go prepare something worthy of eating. All that stress, yeah? But the truth is that junks do not contribute much to us at all. All of that sugar is just there to provide a temporary energy boost while we binge away on social media. And since it doesn't last, it explains why one could consume a whole bowl of M&M cookies within an hour without realizing it. Cooking your meals can help you control what you're eating and help you monitor your health better. By eating your own cooked food, you take in fewer chemicals and preservatives that may have 'negligible' side effects that would eventually lead to whole lotta things. Cook!. # <center></center> ### 3. Fruit and vegetables rock! <div class="pull-right"><center><img src="https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2015/08/19/14/27/fruits-896070_1280.jpg" /><br/><em><a href="https://pixabay.com/en/fruits-summer-melon-watermelon-896070/"><sub>Fruits and Veggies! Pixabay, CCO.</sub></a></em></center></div Fruits and vegetables provide nutrients that are vital for the health and maintenance of a healthy body. as such, they are the hallmark and spices of a healthy eating habit. Studies have shown that taking food rich in fibre such as fruits and vegetables, nuts, etc, could reduce the risk of a wide range of diseases such as heart attack stroke, and some cancer types. Hence, you might have to agree with this one. Taking at least three fruits a day could keep you feeling light and healthy all day long as they supply the necessary vitamins your body needs. # <center></center> ### 4. Think moderation. <div class="pull-left"><center><img src="https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmWMoTS2tjcHpzkMDe6ceTwDc3fP5Egr1m2hmr9aeTLvXo/image.png" /><br/><em><a href="https://pxhere.com/en/photo/1412059"><sub>You know what, i'm just gon' push all of these extras aside. Image: Pxhere CCO.</sub></a></em></center></div A lot of people do not really know when to stop eating, and it probably isn't in their best interests at all. Moderation here simply would refer to eating just as much as our body needs. Rather than feeling all stuffed up, a good meal should leave you satisfied and good to go any time. Hence, it is rather important to watch what you eat, and how much you take in. You may have to eat lesser than you should in some given situations and occasions, and that's fine. Eating healthily cuts across the size of the food you consume per sitting, and feeding the right way has to be done in moderation. # <center></center> ### 5. Water also helps flush and rid our systems of toxins and substances that aren't required anymore in the body. Drinking a cup of water is considered as feeding too since it plays such important roles. The lack of water could leave us feeling tired and dehydrated and is sometimes mistaken for hunger. Drink plenty of water. # <center></center> ### 6.
