## <center>It's progress!</center>

During a recent trip to help a friend build his house, we had some long hard days in the sun. We had hoped to get the exterior walls framed the first day, but we fell a little short and had one section left for the next day. After getting it up, we build a massive six inch by twelve inch by thirty three foot beam and prepared to get it up on top of the wall. With only four men available to life, it was a chore, but we managed to safely get it raised up. My friend had milled a couple of 8X8 posts, and we also put them in place beneath the beam for support. It was tough, but got it done. Here's what the progress on our second day looked like. I have put up such beams by myself.
Sounds like you did things the hard way.

How are you doing on your house planning?
You got kids that are sprouting up and going to start needing rooms of their own.
Have you thought of building your house in stages?

What did you like about the build above?
Do you like the slab on grade?
It is fast and easy, but then you have hard concrete under your feet for life instead of springy wood.

Is your trailer in the position you want your house?
Or do you have a better spot chosen?
