There are many roads from the city and the towns to the airport, but I prefer this one.

My father and mother-in-law were on the way back north after their delightful 7 day visit to us.

**Now, I had no time to take photos of the airport, but you can see it** [HERE](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Town_International_Airport)

The mountain that you can see in the photos is the world-famous historic Table Mountain that towers over the main Cape Town city. The photos in here are all from the backside of the mountain, as we were coming in from the south. That mountain is the vault of thousands of history stories even before it was first discovered by the Dutch. The first European settlers in South Africa landed from ships of the Dutch East India company, and a guy named Jan van Riebeek was the leader. But you can Google the story, as many wars and hardships took place at the time.

It was a Tuesday, and we departed at a time after the peak of the morning traffic.

Some farmer was letting his goats out at the right of the picture below, and I just hope that the goats will not try to cross the road, as it's a national highway, and cars travel at speed on the road.

This was much better, as the fences blocked animals and people from crossing the road.

Rural farms also appeared, and the peak at the right of Table Mountain looks like Devil's Peak, and the famous Chapman's peak route runs around below it. Now I don't know if this is a correct description as it is a view from the back of mountain but in my mind it is,

This was the last view of the mountain, as we were nearing the turn off to the airport, and things started to get busy on the road.

Stats are showing that more than half a million tourists visited Cape Town thus far this year, and they come from many countries across the world. Countries like the UK, USA, France, China, Germany and many others come into Cape Town, and many tourists take the inland tour buses to visit us in the Cape Winelands. We have on occasion had some nice chats with some of the visitors, from the other countries. I often take photos of the birds and wildlife on some of the wine farms, and often a person from a group of tourists would approach me and ask me to take a photo of the group with their phones. Of course, I am always happy to do that, and it's all for fun, as some of them can strike up some crazy poses and everybody burst out laughing. My purpose in laugh is to make people smile every day, as it makes me happy.
Such is life.
