Mimicking Nature To Not Get Destroyed By It | A Paradigm-Transition Theory - 1/2
One of the most advanced ways we can use technology is the mimicking of nature in its concreteness, its functionality and it's approach to solving certain engineering problems.

I always thought mimicking is the best way to approach our problems on the human level when it comes to - say - designing machines, creating inventions or solving logistical issues in a major way. But while the method is reasonable, the intention might not be.

It seems that all we ever do to *copy* nature is used *against* nature. We found out how to create petrochemical products that make dirt more fertile (like plain manure does in nature's domain) but we use those petrochemical agents to spray nature with it; poisoning many lands. We mimicked nature's way of behaving and replaced it with chemicals that taint entire ecosystems. And somehow we stayed at that level.

We have found out about non-physical currents of energy that can carry information - invisible to the naked eye - and we used them to a point where we have come to live in an electromagnetic soup, to a degree where we even manage to disorient animals with our sonars, radars and other types of radiation on the electromagnetic spectrum.

I don't think I'm saying *developing and using technology* has always led to disaster, but that it often does within our currently accepted and faltering paradigm, because we see ourselves as different from nature, as something that is in constant need of protection *from* nature and *real life* at large. And so we have made it our paradigmic custom to dominate nature.

We dominate nature because otherwise we - as many are fearing due to indoctrination - would eventually get dominated by. As if it were our conqueror, our opponent. It's not.

It's our origin.

The paradigm-shift may come precisely from acknowledging our inherent sameness with nature, eventually leading to a different way of interacting with it.

How this would look in the actual?

We would start emphasizing technologies that don't mimick nature artificially but that utilize nature itself to work like it itself always had intended. 'Steered' with our human *focussing of intention, skill and competency* to make use of nature's inherent, infinite potential. A holistic interaction.

A concrete example would be Permaculture where all humans do is basically design the garden in such a way that thriving ecosystems can develop and mature efficiently. Not that nature can't do it on its own but with purposeful, directed work and study human beings can so drastically help nature thrive that abundance and health for all are the natural (and logical) ***byproduct***. The ***product*** is a life in harmony with all that is. A life I hear that human beings are longing for.
