<div class="text-justify">¿Te suenan conocidas estas frases? <em>“No te separes de mí porque alguien te puede robar”, “No me culpes si te caes y te rompes una pierna", “Cuando te rompas la cabeza, no vengas aquí llorando”</em>… Estoy segura que te pasó por la mente una película con escenas basadas en estas frases como parte del guion.  

<p>

Todas estas son realidades que demuestran que una madre está perdiendo el control.

¿Por qué actuamos así?

Esto se debe a que sentimos que los niños no van a entender a menos que hagamos uso de semejantes recursos emocionales.


<p>


¿Debemos corregirnos?
---

<p>

Pues sí, aunque no sólo son injustos, sino que ensombrecen la percepción que el niño tiene de la realidad, son comunes estos mecanismos de **“educación”**. Además, es bueno saber que cuando los padres asustamos a los hijos con lo que les puede pasar si no obedecen nuestras sugerencias, lo más probable es que olviden lo que tenían que hacer y que solo recuerden el temor. 

<p>

En tal sentido, los hijos en lugar de aproximarse a una situación peligrosa con precaución y con mecanismos de autodefensa, lo que desarrollan en forma automática es un disparador del miedo que se pone en marcha cuando se ven enfrentados al peligro. Debido a que están aterrorizados por lo que los padres les han inculcado, no responderán con rapidez y seguridad en las situaciones de alarma. Este es un claro ejemplo del **“daño”** que, sin querer, podemos ocasionarles.

Aunque nuestra misión como padres es proteger a los hijos de los problemas debemos hacer todo lo posible por lograr que tengan confianza en sí mismos.

<p>

¿Cómo lograr el equilibrio entre cautela y confianza?

<p>

Para educar a nuestros hijos sin miedos pero con cautela, es preciso que tomes en cuenta dos aspectos:

<p>

 💣 El primero es que si tú tienes dificultad para confiar en los demás, tu hijo puede creer que el mundo está lleno sólo de gente sin principios. 

<p>

💣 El segundo es que si tú piensas que todas las personas son buenas, no estas siendo del todo realista.

<p>

**Por lo tanto:**

<p>


🚀 Refuerza la idea de que **la mayoría** de las personas **son confiables**.

<p>

🚀 Háblales a  tus hijos lo que deben hacer en caso de que se encuentren con personas que actúen de manera inapropiada, pero asegúrales que la mayoría de las personas son pacíficas. 

<p>

🚀 Cuando tus hijos tengan edad suficiente, explícales que desafortunadamente existen personas malas que les pueden ocasionar serios daños a los niños.

<p>

🚀 Ten en cuenta que no es sencillo hablarles a los hijos de los peligros a los que pueden estar expuestos cuando aún no entienden el significado de la palabra peligro.

<p>

🚀 Cuando los niños tienen 7 ó 9 años ya es posible ser más específica y clara, así que trata de que se sienta seguro sabiendo que hay gente que los pueden ayudar si está perdido o asustado, puede ser una maestra, los empleados de una tienda o alguien conocido. 

<p>


**Toma en cuenta:**

<p>

La manera en que los padres enfrentamos los temores le enseña a nuestros hijos a **superar** y quizá también a **desaparecer** los suyos.

<p>

Aún más en niños con Diagnóstico de Trastorno del Espectro Autista, se deben aplicar con sutileza todas estas sugerencias.</div>

🚀 Tell your children what to do if they come across people who act inappropriately, but reassure them that most people are peaceful.
🚀 When your children are old enough, explain that unfortunately there are bad people who can cause serious harm to children.
🚀 Keep in mind that it is not easy to talk to children about the dangers to which they may be exposed when they still do not understand the meaning of the word danger.
🚀 When children are 7 or 9 years old it is already possible to be more specific and clear, so try to make them feel safe knowing that there are people who can help them if they are lost or scared, it can be a teacher, employees of a store or someone you know.*

>*The way we parents deal with fears teaches our children to **get over** and maybe **disappear** theirs as well.*

>*Even more so in children with a Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, all these suggestions should be applied with subtlety.*
